The best 4th of July is one spent on the water. This year's even better with the Arc Sport, proudly made in America.

Almost a century back there was race for four-minute mile and athlete, experts and so many more thought it to be humanly impossible. Now - many many athletes can do that. You can read about epic stories behind 4-minute mile and how it was broken from this book - https://lnkd.in/gmkhfQ9Z It is only matter of few races or years that we will consistently keep getting sun 2-hour marathons (~42.1 kms).

We had a really great breakthrough for getting to the source of issues in the IDS session of #EOS quarterly we just completed at H&H: - Ask WHY - Ask WHY again - Ask WHY AGAIN ... you get the point As we white boarded the issue and its potential sources we found the analogy of a tree to be perfect. It's easy to list all of the potential causes of an issue or the "leaves". But it's much harder to get to the source or "root" of the problem. By continuing to ask WHY the first thing you'll face is that it gets uncomfortable. HOWEVER, if you push through and have trust in your team so you feel safe to be vulnerable, you will get to the root of the problem. Combine this with ensuring the issues you tackle align with your quartly and annual goals and your off to the races. Thanks again 𝗘𝗿𝗶𝗸 𝗞𝗶𝗸𝘂𝗰𝗵𝗶 † for this important breakthrough.

The Fort Boyard Challenge is France's biggest multi-sport event, taking place this weekend in Fouras, Charente Maritimes, 8 Mont Blanc's production teams have teamed up with Omnilive and Grabyo to offer Interactive Multiview live coverage for the first time on this type of competition. Specifically, during the live broadcast of the event, viewers will be able to select one of the three on-board cameras on the water to follow either the Stand Up Paddle, windsurfing or Hawaiian canoes races. "This application opens up a whole new world of possibilities for capturing outdoor sporting events, not only in water sports but also in trail running, triathlon, alpine skiing , etc., where viewers can now choose to follow a particular athlete at a particular point in the race - in other words, become the directors themselves. Many thanks to the technical teams at 8 Mont Blanc and our partners Grabyo and Omnilive for making this possible", says Pierre Boucaud, CEO of 8 Mont Blanc. For Cyril Zajac, CEO of #Omnilive, "Multiview undoubtedly makes it possible to nurture a new experience for all sports fans and open up new editorial possibilities and sponsor presence. Working with 8 Mont Blanc on a lightweight, full cloud remote-production shows that there are no longer any technological locks for producers and sports organizations to let their imaginations run wild." Gareth Capon, CEO for #Grabyo said; “Cloud-native production empowers broadcasters like TV8 Mont Blanc to produce live, multi-camera events in a flexible, lightweight and cost-effective way. The combination of this flexibility and efficiency enables a whole new world of unique storytelling through live content. It has been great to partner with TV8 and Omnilive, to put the fans at the heart of their own story.” Follow tihds event October Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th between 11am cest and 3pm cest on https://lnkd.in/epF3AdRn #Omnilive #sport #innovation #remote #production

I competed in the 24-hour Maine Summer Adventure Race last week. After the race, Adventure Racing Insider (a publication covering the sport) analyzed our team's nighttime navigation. As you'll see from the video, our team got wildly lost attacking CP 48 when we abandoned fact (i.e. our pace counts - a way of measuring distance when bushwhacking off trail) for what we perceived (houselights that looked much closer than they actually were). My not-so-earth-shattering lesson: We put a lot of thought into identifying a game plan. Don't be rattled by new information. Analyze new information like any other, giving it the weight it deserves, but always in the context of the bigger picture. Pivot when that new information changes the big picture. https://lnkd.in/emF9Bitf
**ENHANCE....** Thanks again to 3 Rivers Outdoor Company for their .gpx track from the overnight trek section of the Maine Summer Adventure Race.... | By Adventure Racing Insider | Facebook

WEDNESDAY WISDOM: STRONGER TOGETHER Piggy-backing on my "pack" post from Monday, my Wednesday Wisdom is this: We are stronger together. There's a race going on right now called Big's Backyard Ultra, where runners run just over 4 miles every hour on the hour, until there's only 1 person left. Once that happens, the race is over. They can't do it alone. A few years ago, it was impressive to see runners make it 24, 30, 40, even 50 hours. Imagine that - more than 2 full days, running 4+ miles every hour, only ending when that 2nd to last person standing says "Ok, I've had enough". And then, it's over for the last man standing. The world championship of this race is happening right now - and they are on lap 99. Yes, you read that right. LAP NINETY-NINE!!! There are 6 runners left, including Harvey Lewis from Cincinnati!! They're together, pushing themselves and each other as far as they can go, doing it together - Until they're alone, and then it ends. The power of this teamwork, the comraderie, the grit and determination, the "one more lap, you can do it, come on!!" comments from those around them and those remaining, have resulted in multiple personal bests and country bests. And it's not over!! These men are stronger together, going WAY outside of their comfort zones for the good of themselves, and the good of the group. That's a powerful lesson - find those you can count on, those you can rely on, and work together to break through barriers that you never thought possible. I can promise you - they're possible. #monarch #wednesdaywisdom #bigsbackyardultra #strongertogether https://lnkd.in/eiQx6aPV
