🌱 Embracing Sustainability from the Ground Up: Empowering Change Agents 🌱 I am thrilled to share that we have finalized the first phase of our journey to change Flamma from inside out. In June we launched the Sustainability change agents network (SCAN) initiative asking Flamma's employee to volunteer to become change agents. We were hoping to find 20 people willing to get out of their confort zone and we actually have 48 only in Italy!   On Tursday 27th of July I did an inspiring session with our sustainability change agents to get to know each other and discuss on how we will drive change within Flamma Group. And what better occasion than a aperi-cena to build better knowledge of each other 🤗   Sustainability initiatives that originate from the grassroots level hold immense potential for driving meaningful and lasting change. Here are a few reasons why we decided to embrace bottom-up approach: 👽 Diverse Perspectives: By involving employees at all levels, we tap into a diverse pool of ideas, experiences, and insights. 🤝 Increased Engagement: When employees actively participate in crafting sustainability strategies, they feel a stronger sense of ownership and purpose. 🐒 Agility and Adaptability: Bottom-up initiatives are more agile and adaptable to dynamic circumstances.   🌳 Building a Sustainable Culture: By empowering our change agents, we lay the foundation for a sustainable organizational culture. 🏗 Scalability and Reach: A bottom-up approach facilitates the scaling of successful sustainability practices across the entire organization.   🏀 Collaboration and Teamwork: Sustainability efforts often require cross-functional collaboration. Today, Maria Sangder, CEO of Gaia, will deliver the keynote address at the Sustainable Business 2024 event taking place at Clarion, Helsinki. 🌿 Last week I had the first encounter with Baltic Sustainability Awards at WARM-UP event in Vilnius —a captivating event to reassess our position in the sustainability marathon. Couple insights I would like to share: 1️⃣ Sustainability Starts with Behavior Change: The true test lies in our choices—do we opt for sustainable products during our weekly grocery shopping, even if they come at a higher cost than alternatives? Let's be honest here. 2️⃣ Bravery in Sustainable Products/Services: Client feedback improves products/services, but breakthrough innovations require business bravery and dedication to innovation. Launching new exotic truly sustainable solution is a true sign of risk resilience. 3️⃣ Sustainability as a Manageable System: Understanding sustainability not as a separate initiative but as a manageable system is a game-changer. A holistic approach integrates sustainability into every aspect of business operations rather than treating it as a standalone project. 4️⃣ Beyond the Facade: Defining Bare Minimum for Sustainability: In a world where sustainability is often flaunted as mere bullet points on websites, the question arises: What is the bare minimum threshold for genuine sustainability? Does such minimum even exist? Sustainability is not a new endeavor at ITCC Group. We progress in small steps, embedding a sustainable core approach in our business processes to contribute to a better tomorrow for everyone 🌍💡 Events like the Baltic Sustainability Awards in Riga fuel essential conversations and serve as a hub for like-minded enthusiasts.
