Synchronous replication is a data replication method where data is simultaneously written to both the primary source (e.g., a database or server) and the replica (secondary source). In this approach, the primary system waits for an acknowledgment from the replica before confirming a successful write operation. This ensures that the data on both sides is identical at all times. It offers data consistency and integrity, making it suitable for applications that require zero data loss and high reliability, like financial systems. Asynchronous replication is a data replication method where data is written to the primary source without waiting for the replica to acknowledge the write operation immediately. Data is then asynchronously copied to the replica at a later time. This approach provides faster write operations, as there is no need to wait for acknowledgment.

Without using difficult words, referential integrity entails the ability of a query to return the correct information needed from a database. For this to happen, the relationship between two or more tables must be accurate and consistent. Redundancy simply means useless. It happens when the same information is in multiple places in a database. If you can delete an instance of data in a database without losing that information, then you have redundancy. #data
