𝗗𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗥𝗲𝗻𝘁 In recent weeks, a few large concerts took place in Nijmegen (Netherlands) where drones were not welcome. For the safety of the concertgoers, the organization enlisted Bavak. Bavak installed Drone Detection equipment that activates an alarm as soon as a drone is detected. The drone, its pilot, and all relevant data (altitude, home position, serial number, etc.) are then displayed in real-time on a map, allowing authorities to quickly intervene. This intervention prevents potential incidents with drones falling into the crowd and/or unwanted recordings (bootlegs). Thanks to this technology, visitors can enjoy the concerts undisturbed. In this image, I've curated a selection of 60 diverse payloads that seamlessly integrate with popular DJI drones, notably the Matrice 300 and 350. These payloads encompass a wide array of options, including #LiDAR (including the newly unveiled L2!), #Hyperspectral, #thermalimaging, #cargo, #acoustic, #illumination, #sampling, #edgeprocessing, #flowanalysis, and #gasdetection. These choices cater to various industries and applications, highlighting the adaptability of DJI's drone technology.

In an attempt to make things easier for people who want drone shots but unsure what to ask for, here's another simple yet effective one- Orbit. - Also known as "Point of Interest" the UAV typically strafes a 360 degree circle while maintaining focus on a central point such as a building or in this case the Isle of Fidra in East Lothian. This shot makes great use of the parallax effect whereby the foreground (Island) and background (Baps of Fife) appear to move at different speeds. The vast majority of pilots use automatic settings to lock on to the target, and although technically maintaining a perfect 360 circle, I find that for cinematic effect it is better to fly this manually. Often these shots are cut to 180 degree arcs, or less in the edit in order to maintain the viewers' attention.

I personally have a DJI Drone, that I use for Photography with the Family on Bike Rides, Vacations, etc. I am Pro-Drone, as I think that there are a lot of Opportunities for Commercial use. If you haven't checked out Sunflower Labs and what they are doing, you should. Even DJI has announced a new Product, to compete, called the DJI Dock 2.
