700 hrs in 100 days Gulfstream Aerospace’s G700 program has been picking up steam since FAA #certification on March 29, accumulating type validations from eight nations along with the EASA - European Union Aviation Safety Agency. After receiving the U.S. nod a little more than 100 days ago, #Gulfstream this week reported the in-service fleet has already topped more than 700 #flight hours, showing a maturity in the program. Along with accruing hours, the model continues to rack up city-pair #speed records. Paris to Montreal was done in 6 hours 16 minutes while São Paulo to White Plains, New York, in 8 hours 46 minutes. Both flights averaged a speed of at least Mach 0.90. The #flights are pending U.S. National Aeronautic Association & Fédération Aéronautique Internationale in #Switzerland recognition as world records. These will bring the total number of record flights for the ultra-long-range model to nearly 60. #businessjet’s are awesome! #bizjet #bizav

🔺 The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has certified the clean-sheet Gulfstream G600 for steep approach to landing, opening access to more airports around the world. The G600 has successfully demonstrated its steep-approach capabilities with low-speed handling and short-field landings at London City Airport in England and Lugano Airport in Switzerland. These challenging airports require steep-approach operations, as London City has a short runway and Lugano is located in the mouth of a valley. 🔺 “This certification further increases global access for the G600,” said Mark Burns, president, Gulfstream Aerospace “Building on the speed and range performance advantages that G600 customers already experience, steep-approach capability broadens possibilities and increases flexibility for travel.” 🌐 𝐅𝐮𝐥𝐥 𝐀𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐥𝐞 : https://swll.to/FWoUp4 #businessaviation #aviationworld #businessjets #aeronautical #aeronautique #aeroworld #aero #aeronautics #Aircraft #privatejet #Aviation #Gulfstream

TOULOUSE- It seems that Airbus has increased the maximum take-off weight (MTOW) for the A350-1000 to 322 tonnes, as indicated by regulatory documents. Previously, the airframer's documentation had listed the MTOW of the A350-1000's heaviest variant as 319 tonnes. Gulfstream Aerospace has increased the official maximum range and speed of its flagship G700. The first G700s are set to be delivered later this year. The aircraft’s range has increased to 7,750 nautical miles (nm)/14,353 km at Mach 0.85 or 6,650 nm/12,316 km at Mach 0.90. This is 250 nm/463 km higher than Gulfstream pledged at launch. The aircrafts maximum operating speed has increased to Mach 0.935 from Mach 0.925. This makes it the fastest Gulfstream aircraft. BOMBARDIER’s Global 7500 has a maximum range of 7,700nm with a top speed of Mach 0.925. “We are undertaking one of the most extensive flight test programs as the G700 is the first business aircraft to undergo Federal Aviation Administration certification following the passage of the 2020 Aircraft Certification, Safety, and Accountability Act,” said Mark Burns, president, Gulfstream. “As a result, we will be delivering an extremely mature, rigorously tested aircraft that will outperform expectations in speed, range and cabin comfort. Our certification efforts continue to advance, and we look forward to delivering the G700 to customers around the world.” Gulfstream has also lowered the cabin altitude to 2,840 feet/866 meters while flying at 41,000 ft/12,497 m. It says this is the lowest for all business aircraft. The manufacturer has five aircraft for more than 4,100 test hours. It hopes to get the aircraft certificated by the FAA before the end of the year. #avfoilnews #aviation #aircraft #airplane #speedoptimization #unitedstatesofamerica #speedtest
