Social connectedness and recent volunteer experience are important predictors of giving that nonprofit organizations seeking to do good in the world should pay attention to. Do Good Institute's newest research finds that people who volunteered last year are more likely to give this year. At the same time, people who gave last year are more likely to volunteer this year. While Minnesota has an impressive history of corporate giving, the dollars available to local organizations are becoming harder to access as corporations extend their geographic footprints—and the areas where they give. It's such a buzz word right now... who's doing it right and what are they doing to achieve it? 🤔 I'm so grateful to work with the team at Purposely where our goal is to make company culture easy for HR and fun for employees. This is a great article by Tech Talent North that highlights the benefits companies and nonprofits can experience by facilitating corporate volunteering. It features Purposely's founder, Eric Franzo. Corporate volunteering helps to increase employee retention and employee purpose. Instead of happy hour drinks, corporate volunteering is a meaningful team building activity.
