Joining a new company can always be challenging, but it definitely helps when you have great people around to support and cheer you on. And that’s exactly what my experience has been like in my first 3 weeks at Amplemarket. It definitely helps that my first week was at our amazing offsite in beautiful Madeira, Portugal where I could meet most of my team and learn about our culture and mission for this 2024! ☀ However, a little about me… I am a proud husband to a beautiful wife and father of three wonderful and crazy kids. They are my why! I LOVE watching/playing futbol (soccer). And I represent my kid’s school in their parent’s team. I actually scored an awesome goal last Sunday! 💪 Before I was in Saas and in business in general, I hitchhiked around the United States for 2 years visiting monasteries and eventually became a monk in a contemplative monastery in Chiapas, Mexico, where I studied philosophy and theology for 4 years before meeting my awesome wife, Camila. Before I became an AE I worked in marketing… And don’t get me wrong, I love marketing, but nothing beats the thrill of closing a wonderfully worked deal and getting paid to do it. My favorite part of sales? The first two weeks within a new company create a lasting impression of what the rest of a work experience at that company will be like👇👇 I am writing this as I started my new chapter as a BDR Manager at Onomondo, and I am looking forward to this 2-week onboarding process the company has set up for me, as it does for all its new hires. Way to go! 💥 What I plan to understand better during these 2 weeks is: ✅ Not only what Onomondo does, but why it does what it does. ✅ Our ICP and Personas, including their world, challenges, and KPIs. ✅ All about my role responsibilities, expectations, goals, and KPIs. ✅ My department challenges, as well as those of Sales, Growth and RevOps departments. ✅ Establish a 30-60-90 day plan for #BDR department in alignment with my role. This life update is long overdue! This past February I had the honor and privilege of attending an all-inclusive regional trip to Punta Cana with my coworkers from Vector Marketing! I started working for Vector in 2020 as a social media recruiting assistant, and was promoted to Recruiting Assistant Manager last summer. I decided to try out the sales position that I had been recruiting for, and this past winter advanced 3 promotions and was selected from less than 10 percent of sales representatives to attend a regional trip to Punta Cana. I thought I’d only work for Vector for a few weeks to earn some extra money around the 2020 holidays. Little did I know that the type of mentorship and development I’d learn here would make such a deep imprint on who I am as a person that I would stay for years longer than I thought. Vector puts an emphasis on both the process and the outcome. Hard work and dedication yield results, and those results are rewarded. I’m so glad I trusted the process of development! Everyone here is shown the same level of empathy, connection, and determination. Now this summer I’m able to help develop others and give them the same opportunity through my work as a Recruiting Assistant Manager and Shift Leader. #hiring #development

The Importance of Hiring Local-Part Two Property Management is an intensely personal industry. You are selling not just a home full of future memories, but the neighborhood as well.  With hybrid and remote work options, people have more choices than ever in where they choose to live. Suburban enclaves like Alpharetta have rapidly adapted to the change. Our city continues to build its own distinct brand and is a contender on many lists for best cities to live in. When I sell a property well, it’s because I love the city it resides in and preferably, I reside there too. What I do has ripple effects well into the future.  I might be the gym recommendation where someone finds their future spouse. I am the school bridge for nervous parents that tells them what the district is really like because I have kids already in it. I know which movie theaters are new or upgraded their seats. I know how long it takes to get to the H-Mart in John’s Creek for a true international grocery shopping experience (26 minutes from my house.) I know the youth sports leagues and city recreation centers. Festivals, fairs and farmer’s markets are already on my calendar.  I could apply for Property Manager positions closer to Atlanta and I’m sure I could find one but Atlanta isn’t my city, Alpharetta is.  I know hiring someone local isn’t the top priority for you recruiters. You want the best person for the job but please take locality as a factor for this particular field, property management, because it can directly impact your sales and resident retention. You want a city ambassador who can provide first-hand concierge service to your residents and be an anchor for your out-of-state prospects. I am so proud to call the city of Alpharetta my home and fingers crossed I get the job that lets me work where I love to live.     #propertymanagement #lovewhereyoulive #Alpharetta #sales #customerservice
