“”Prepare for any job interview by getting to know the company.” This is some of the most basic interviewing advice you’ll get about a job search. “But, Robert, what exactly do I need to know?” That’s the question. You should know the basics — when the company was founded, who founded it, who is on the current leadership team (especially the CEO) and how many people work for the company. If you know who you are going to be interviewing with, take the time to Google them and scan their LinkedIn profiles for anything noteworthy and conversation-starting. Definitely spend some time on the company’s “about us” page and their HR page, if they have one. And if you’re working with a recruiter, check in with them on what else they think is relevant to know about the company. Good luck.
