A message we're hearing more and more often from our Inqqa AI customers. Recently we discussed the diminishing adequacy of tools such as the Likert Scale with a group of HR leaders under the enlightened direction of Theresa Fesinstine. Do your people like working here? Employee engagement in the U.S. has dropped to its lowest level since 2013, according to the latest Gallup polling. By the end of 2023, 33 percent of U.S. employees reported being highly engaged in their work and workplaces, but the most recent polling from February 2024 reveals a slide, with engagement dropping 3 percentage points to 30 percent. The decline represents 4.8 million fewer employees who are highly engaged at work. The record high for engaged employees was recorded in 2020 at 36 percent, and although the latest figures are down compared to that peak, the current level is the same as or higher than any reading between 2000 and 2013. We like the employee experience data in the newly designed The Predictive Index Index Employee Survey as delivered by Predictive Success Corporation to get ahead of this challenging people and leader issue.
