“We the people” – perhaps the most famous phrase in American history, embodying the preamble of the Constitution. Yet, when contemplating these words, one inevitably wonders: who exactly constitutes this “we”? Originating in 1787, shortly after the onset of slavery in America, it’s evident that the framers didn’t envision the inclusion of Black Americans in this collective. However, rather than dwelling on tragedy, let’s shift the focus to triumph. Recently, I found myself in the heart of the nation’s capital, attending the American Bankers Association Washington Summit. Amidst the wealth of content, it struck me: the stark underrepresentation of Black America. This isn’t surprising, given that there are fewer than 20 Black-owned banks in the entire country, yes you heard that right. Arriving in Washington, I harbored a bold notion with my colleagues: to establish a Black-owned bank in D.C. Yet, as I sit here, it’s clear that our mission extends beyond mere establishment. Together, we aim to breathe life into this vision, redefining the narrative of financial empowerment. We are actively raising capital, and I want to call on anyone who has ever wanted to own their legacy and make impactful change to reach out. We refuse to fade into obscurity; our ambition is to dismantle the existing structures. With a community exceeding 40 million people and a staggering spending power surpassing $1.6 trillion, the time has come for collective action. I say it’s time that we put our resources together and fix our communities together, because there is no one coming to save us. In solidarity, let’s rewrite the narrative of ownership, resilience, and empowerment. Together, as “we the people,” let’s breathe life into a future where every voice is heard and every dream is within reach. Let’s break the system.

Here’s a quick history lesson Who has heard of co-intelpro? The US and UK have a history of employing Black people to join Black activists and organizations with the intention to discredit and neutralize the organization. James Jack Wormley was hired as the first black fbi agent by J Edgar Hoover. James the father of Black Judases wormed his way into Marcus Garveys organization with an objective to “Discredit, Disrupt and Destroy” the organization COINTELPRO, in full Counterintelligence Program, counterintelligence program conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) from 1956 to 1971 to discredit and neutralize organizations considered subversive to U.S. political stability. Eg “Marcus Garvey, Malcolm X, MLK, Black Panther Party. J Edgar Hoover was head of the FBI and had a hand in the destabilization of all of the above and more. The UK’s MI5 and MI6 has had similar operations, due to being much more cover than the US, agents are harder to identify but they can be exposed by those who understand a agents objective In the film Matrix, there were “conscious agents” and “subconscious agents”. These two mindsets represent those that deliberately try to destabilize progressive organizations in the community, and those doing it based on conditioning. There OBJECTIVE is the same - to DISCREDIT, DISRUPT, DISTRACT, DESTROY and NEUTRALIZE progressive community organizations. Particularly organizations which intimidate the state. Anyone doing this, by definition, is an agent. Our only power is to recognize there objective and not allow them to win.
