Last week, Petco made the difficult decision to implement a significant number layoffs within the marketing and creative departments, and unfortunately, I found myself among those affected. While I understand that many industries, especially retail, have faced challenges in the current economic climate, I was surprised to be included in the list of impacted partners. Despite the circumstances, I am grateful for the valuable experiences and the wonderful individuals I have had the pleasure of working with at Petco. The support I have received has been truly remarkable and humbling. I am currently seeking new opportunities in CRM, Loyalty, Payments, GTM, and Marketing Strategy. Any leads, ideas, informal interviews, or referrals in these areas would be greatly appreciated as I navigate this transition. I aspire to work with a customer-focused company that values CRM and loyalty. I seek a role on the client or agency side where I can leverage my expertise and make a significant impact. I excel at transforming data into actionable insights and aligning overall strategy with omni-channel tactics to support it. I am skilled at building and creating high-performing teams and operate as an empathetic leader. Nothing is more fun than playing with the data! Thank you... #layoffs #retail #opentowork #CRMLoyalty You have to feel it to overcome it. ~The stress of losing a job is undeniable. Don’t ignore your own needs, it’s ok to have a bad day, just don’t let them all be bad days. Focus on what you can control. Build a plan for your search, execute it. ~Create structure in your day. Open all lines of communication, follow up. Allow yourself to heal. ~Take advantage of the extra time you have. Prioritize yourself – eat healthy and workout. Learn a new skill or hobby. No excuses. Appreciate the support. Give back. ~Support your fellow job seekers. Listen. Offer guidance, support, and introductions. Check on them periodically.

All good people, especially talented ones like Bobbi Jo Sikora everything will turn out right. One door closes and another opens to a new, challenging and rewarding opportunity. Will continue to share with you my friend and be in touch as often as possible. Lots of companies are seeking leadership in the CRM/Loyalty space. Petco's loss is a big win for the company that brings your knowledge and energy to bear on their customer-centric challenges.
Bobbi Jo Sikora, I feel so lucky that our paths crossed! Bobbi Jo is a seasoned Marketing leader that effectively balances the art and science of marketing to generate strong results. From the day I met you, I knew we would be more than just colleagues. Working together has been incredibly enriching, filled with shared goals, challenges overcome, and successes celebrated. You are a dedicated professional and unwavering commitment to excellence is inspiring. Your leadership and vision have truly made a difference. Here's to the exciting opportunities ahead!
We will miss you dearly. We’ve know each other for over 20 years and have managed to cross paths three times! Any team is lucky to have you!
I was "liberated" just about a year ago with very little severance and only 3 months of healthcare for my family. I ultimately made the choice to create my own work and it's been so worth it. I was the breadwinner supporting my family while my husband was building his business. Not an easy transition. I do wish you all the best. Being laid off is amazing painful. If you need an ear. I'm always happy to chat! (Not a sales post from me! I promise. Your post just touched my heart. I mean what I say about a chat!)

1wBobbi Jo, I’m truly surprised as well. I think it’s safe to say that in this transitional period, Petco is losing a lot of much-needed talent but all things happen for a reason. I personally remain in your corner.
