Had an open course assignment to get creative... Here's a small neighborhood in Louisville, KY, with public tree canopy data. Idea was to kick off a neighborhood competition: blocks with the greatest % area of tree canopy win! This neighborhood happens to collect extra taxes to plant trees, and is struggling to get homeowners to plant canopy trees (i.e., trees that will grow above a certain height and therefore provide more benefits). Some homeowners are mitigating the risks that come with large trees by planting only low growing trees (e.g., dogwoods).

We hear of cases where businesses wished they had this cover in place because they lost a valuable member of the team unexpectedly and then they try to work out how to fill the gap and realise how much additional time and costs are now coming into play.
