so, in 3 weeks I'll shift back to Matron, having been Head of Nursing for 2 years. Without doubt , it will come with personal challenges..but it's important to realise, that it is not a failure to step back....there will always be many reasons ...both personal and professional for our decisions....and essential that you know you are no less important....., your knowledge and wisdom is no less significant. .., position should not automatically reflect recognition. I have learned that in this truly, difficult world we all offer wisdom, experience, knowledge and support. ..and that, no matter your position, stay true to your values and your beliefs. Bring on the next chapter.
