No matter if you're a senior executive or entry-level worker, the ability to express yourself clearly and connect with your audience is a valuable asset in any professional setting. Today we're sharing an exciting way to leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI) to unlock your communication potential. Here's how: 👀 Step 1: Deepen Your Self-Awareness - Embrace Word Clouds: Inspired by Seth Godin 🌔's newsletter tip to analyze your past content (emails, website, blog posts) using Word Clouds. This helps you identify recurring themes, repetitive phrases, and the overall "tone essence" conveyed by your writing. - Uncover Your Speaking Style: Take things a step further! Use AI tools like ChatGPT, Gemini, or Perplexity to extract your speaking style from call transcripts. Creating separate Word Clouds for your writing and speaking can reveal hidden communication patterns and areas for improvement. 💡 Step 2: Gain Insights from Industry Leaders - Identify Top Performers: Leverage search tools to find your top 20 performing blog posts. Then, expand your research by analyzing the top 20 posts of 2 successful competitors. - Become an AI-Powered Analyst: Utilize ChatGPT to gain valuable insights from these top-performing blogs. Analyze topics, writing styles, and format approaches used by your competitors. This can spark fresh ideas and content strategies. 📈 The Results? By combining these steps, you gain a comprehensive understanding of your communication style and what resonates with your audience. This empowers you to: - Refine Your Voice: Identify overused words and adjust your tone for improved clarity and engagement. - Discover New Content Opportunities: Analyze competitor content for fresh ideas and adapt successful formats to your unique brand voice. - Generate Content with Confidence: Let ChatGPT suggest blog topics based on industry trends and your own unique voice, helping you consistently create captivating content. Hot take: writing still needs a human touch. At least, if you want it to be good. 🔥 Sure, you can copy/paste a ChatGPT output and have something that’s good enough. Something, for the most part, grammatically correct with the right formatting and structure. Something that mimics the tone of the content you trained it on. But it’s probably a bit generic. Lacking a unique perspective. Something similar to something you’ve read before. Because that’s what it is… an amalgamation of words that were previously written by someone else. As professional communicators, we can do better. Part of the magic of writing is creating content that is unique and fresh—specific and custom-fit to you, your organization, or your client’s voice. After all, these words are made to represent your brand, and they’re going to be read by people, not machines. People are sharp, and many folks (me included) can easily tell if content has been generated by AI and published without so much as a copy edit. That doesn’t mean we can’t embrace chatbots as a tool for the work we do. For example, I like to use ChatGPT to brainstorm headlines, reduce my word count, check for spelling mistakes, and help examine my own ideas from a different perspective. But please, use your own voice.

No Engaging Brand Voice in Your AI Writing? Try These Practical Tips! In the era of AI-driven communication, it’s not just about what ChatGPT says, but how it says it – in your brand’s unique voice. Whether you’re a daring ‘Explorer’ like National Geographic or an inventive ‘Creator’ like Apple, making ChatGPT echo this voice can revolutionize your content marketing and ghostwriting. 🌐🗣️ Here’s how I made ChatGPT my brand’s voice ambassador: 1. Define Your Brand’s Character: First, pinpoint your brand’s persona. Is it the caring ‘Caregiver’ like Volvo, or the prestigious ‘Ruler’ like Rolex? This step shapes the tone of all communications. 2. Teach Brand-Specific Language: I trained ChatGPT with phrases and styles unique to my brand. For a humorous ‘Jester’ brand like Snickers, this meant witty lines. For a knowledgeable ‘Sage’ brand like Google, it involved insightful content. 3. Maintain Consistency: Regular interaction in your brand’s tone teaches ChatGPT to mirror it accurately. This consistency is key. 4. Iterate with Feedback: Continuously refine ChatGPT’s output to ensure it matches your brand’s voice, whether that’s the inspirational ‘Hero’ like Red Bull or the balanced ‘Everyman’ like Dove. 📣 How does this transform tasks like content marketing and ghostwriting? ChatGPT can generate consistent, on-brand content, ensuring a uniform voice across all platforms. This consistency builds brand recognition and trust. It can craft articles, social media posts, and even speeches in your brand’s voice, saving time while maintaining quality and brand alignment. The result? An AI tool that not only speaks accurately but also resonates deeply with your audience, embodying the essence of your brand in every word. 🔥 Have you experimented with training ChatGPT in your brand’s voice for content marketing or ghostwriting? Share your experiences below! Towards a smarter future. 🚀 #chatgpt #brandvoice #communication #digitalmarketing #ai

LinkedIn ghostwriter helping SAAS & Tech business leaders become trusted thought leaders | Learnings from 15+ years in journalism | Ex-Chief of Bureau, The New Indian Express
ChatGPT is a boring writer, but an exciting partner for writers in brainstorming. This set of prompts I created is super helpful 💡 It's based on Six Thinking Hats developed by Lateral Thinking guru Edward de Bono. Each 'Thinking Hat' is for a specific mode of thinking. For example, White Hat thinking is looking at the facts. Yellow Hat is for optimistic thinking etc. (Links and infographics in comments if you're new to the Thinking Hats and wish to know why it's special.) This set of prompts helps us discover different aspects of an idea so thoroughly and quickly. Basically, we are going to ask ChatGPT to wear each of the six Thinking Hats on an idea as a partner in brainstorming. Like this: 👉 First prompt: "Do you know the six thinking hats developed by Edward de Bono?" (ChatGPT usually responds by listing the six Thinking Hats. This helps in setting the context clearly for the bot) 👉 Second prompt: "The idea: Should writers use ChatGPT for brainstorming? Now do the White Hat thinking." 👉 Third prompt: "The idea: Should writers use ChatGPT for brainstorming? Now do the Yellow Hat thinking." 👉 Fourth prompt: "The idea: Should writers use ChatGPT for brainstorming? Now do the Black Hat thinking." 👉 Fifth prompt: "The idea: Should writers use ChatGPT for brainstorming? Now do the Green Hat thinking." 👉 Sixth prompt: "The idea: Should writers use ChatGPT for brainstorming? Now do the Red Hat thinking." 👉 Seventh prompt: "The idea: Should writers use ChatGPT for brainstorming? Now do the Blue Hat thinking on how to manage this thinking process." By the end of these seven prompts, you'll have a good set of perspectives and the Blue Hat prompt may also help you structure it further. Pro Tip 💡 Brainstorming is not outsourcing it to the bot. It's using the ChatGPT's answers as sparks for more ideas. P.S. Repost if your network will find it useful.

How Should Communications Pros 'Date' AI? 💭 In this eye-opening blog, we see the evolving relationship between communications professionals and artificial intelligence. 💡 Key Insights: 1️⃣ Take it slow and get to know each other: AI, in its current state, is a powerful tool for technical and literal writing. It excels at tasks like manual writing and language translation. But it lacks the human touch and creativity that sets great content apart. 2️⃣ Keep an eye on its red flags: AI has its limitations, including its reliance on historical data. To stay relevant in the fast-paced world of digital marketing, always fact-check and conduct separate research. 3️⃣ Set reasonable expectations: Use AI as an idea jump-starter to boost your creativity. It can be a valuable resource when brainstorming content ideas or subject lines for marketing emails. 4️⃣ Start thinking about your future together: The real question is how you integrate AI into your digital marketing strategy. Will you leverage it to enhance your content efforts, or will you let it take over and lose your brand's authenticity? AI is changing the game for digital and product marketing. It offers a wealth of opportunities, but it's crucial to use it strategically. How do you see AI shaping the future of our industry? Share your thoughts below! I love a good in depth AI prompt sequence! Adding this one to the toolbox.
How most people using ChatGPT write articles: Prompt: Write me an article on [article topic]. ❌❌❌ How I'm writing longform articles that cover topic depth, keyword opportunities, and answer search intent. 👉🏼 Step 1: Building the Outline Prompt: Who I want you to be: - You're an expert copywriter. What I want you to do: - I want you use to headings, sub-headings. Write headings in bold and underlined format so I can distinguish them between the other content. - I want you to use contractions, idioms, transitional phrases, interjections, dangling modifiers, and colloquialisms. - Avoid using repetitive phrases and unnatural sentence structures. - I want you to provide a list at the top of the blog article outlining each of the headings the article covers. - We want users to feel they can trust our brand. - The target audience should have actionable takeaways. - Start by writing the article outline. Here is what I want you to write on: - My target audience are real estate agents. - I want to teach them how to cold call. 👉🏼 Step 2: Enhancing the Outline Here is where you'll use follow-up prompts like: Option 1: I want to cover additional topics in section (section heading), please elaborate. Option 2: I want to answer additional questions in FAQ style within (section heading), please elaborate. Option 3: I'm unhappy with (section heading), please suggest a different approach. 👉🏼 Step 3: Finishing the Outline and Beginning Writing Once you're complete with the outline, it's time to write. Start by writing one heading section at a time. This prevent ChatGPT from cutting corners and will avoid producing thin content. 👉🏼 Step 4: Publish and Promote! 👉🏼Follow for more free AI tips and tactics to make your life easier. 👈🏼

A COMMON MISTAKE I see people make when personal branding 👀❌ ➡️ Copy and pasting your content from ChatGPT This is something I have been seeing more and more of recently….and it is becoming more evident when someone has simply used AI to write their post 👀 You can generally notice this as the post lacks authenticity and a human touch 😀 When personal branding people buy into YOU, not copy written by AI….the key to unlocking a strong personal brand is being personable and human in your writing and content ✍️ That doesn’t mean AI doesn’t have a place, as it can be an absolutely great tool to support your writing, and idea generation….but to me it shouldn’t be a copy and paste job 👀 Can you notice when a post is simply a copy and paste from ChatGPT?!

After dedicating over 470 hours to using and watching ChatGPT videos, I can reveal one exceptional method for crafting prompts to you. And guess what? It's entirely free. You won't require any more prompt templates once you've got this one! 🤖 So, here it is: Step 1: Give it a role: "Imagine you are Jaime Lannister, a professional copywriter." 🤖 Step 2: Define its job: "Your task is to create compelling copy for an online book brand." 🤖 Step 3: Empower ChatGPT: "Now, request from me all the information you need to create a perfect copy that aligns with my brand." By following these steps, instead of struggling to find the ideal prompt and context, you're delegating the challenging work to ChatGPT. Consequently, ChatGPT will generate 8-10 questions for you to answer in detail. This approach provides ChatGPT with the necessary data for training, which is the key to success. To enhance the process even further, proceed with the following: 🖥️ Step 4: Define the input: "Users will approach you to craft copy for their businesses, brands, or any other subject. Your role is to inquire about the task to clarify it before initiating the copywriting process." 💻 Step 5: Specify the output: "You should compose the copy in a _____ style, commence with an attention-grabbing headline, restrict the copy to ______ words, ensure its persuasiveness, and employ straightforward language." 💾 Step 6: Present 3-5 examples of inputs and outputs. There you have it! Your ultimate prompt is now prepared. Here's the breakdown: 1. Role 2. Job 3. Include all question responses as context 4. Define input 5. Define output 6. Provide 3-5 illustrative examples By adopting this approach, you can expect a significant improvement in the results, making your interactions with ChatGPT 61 times more effective. This method serves as the foundation for approximately 80% of AI tools, so you're in good company. Don't Thank me. show your appreciation to Jaime Lannister, the copywriter behind the book brand – he's the one you should be thanking! 😉😉 Follow and share for more.🤖
