It is never too late to present your research project in our webinar series for 2023-2024 that focuses on practices examples of #partnerships between academic researchers and Indigenous organizations and/or #communities. We invite you today to submit an abstract of a research project you have conducted or are currently conducting and that you would like to present in this series. Research projects conducted entirely by and for #Indigenous organizations and communities will be given priority. In the case of a research project in an academic context, the research team must be accompanied by their Indigenous partner(s). Each webinar will be held on the penultimate Wednesday of the month, from 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m and will include two 30-minute presentations on two different research projects followed by a Q&A. Presentations will focus on: ☑ The development of the research project and, if applicable, the partnership; ☑ The challenges encountered and how these were overcome; ☑ The experience of the Indigenous organization/community in the research process; and ☑ The successes and repercussions perceived by them. If you want to present, contact us now! 😀

📢 New Reports on Researcher’s Skills and Research Assessment published! I am very happy to share 2 more reports in which I have been proudly involved in close cooperation with leading experts and colleagues from the European Research Executive Agency (REA) and the European Commission's DG RTD. 📕 Report of #ResearchSkills This report reviews 16 projects, showcasing their goals, methods, and results, with a focus on skills such as Open Science, entrepreneurship, and innovation to foster a flexible research workforce. With it, we provide policy feedback and first evidence on the implementation of the ERA Policy Agenda, in particular ERA Actions 4 and 17 👉🏼 https://lnkd.in/ef8JAZEg 📗 Report on #ResearchAssessment This report reviews research assessment activities that are tested, developed, and implemented through 30 #H2020 and #HorizonEU projects, and supports the dissemination of good practices stemming from them towards reformed research assessment. With it, we provide evidence on the implementation of the ERA Policy Agenda, specifically on ERA Action 3 👉🏼 https://lnkd.in/eJ2VxF5n These 2 reports are complemented by the Report on Good Practices from European University Alliances (Pilot II), published by the European Research Executive Agency (REA) in March 2024 👉🏼 https://lnkd.in/e6quKT7Q This report reviews 22 projects funded under the #SwafS programme of H2020, and presents tangible progress and good practices achieved in the different areas of institutional change of the #EuropeanUniversityAlliances projects. With it, we provide policy feedback and further evidence on the implementation of the ERA Policy Agenda, in particular ERA Action 13 The European Research Executive Agency (REA) is entrusted by the Commission with the management of significant parts of the EU Research and Innovation framework programmes. An important part of our work is to provide policy feedback to the Commission and EU citizens, based on our contacts with beneficiaries whose opinions on our actions we value and treasure. Therefore, we put great emphasis on lessons learned from projects, in terms of what works well and what needs improvement. This contributes to improving the design and development of the future research and innovation policy and actions under the framework programme, inspiring transformations at institutional, national, and European level. Thanks very much to our great experts Helena Acheson, Gareth O'Neill, Sarika Wilson, @Alis Oancea, Chiara Biglia and Attila Pausits, to my REA colleagues Rinske van den Berg, Mihaela Costache and Irina Tiron, to my colleagues from DG RTD Joerg Niehoff, Dario Capezzuto, Jean-Emmanuel Faure and @Georgios Papanagdou, and to all project coordinators for having contributed with their expertise and effort to this very nice piece of policy feedback. Enjoy the reading!

EARMA 2024: #Enablers of #research deserve #professional #recognition "One of the major trends in research administration, running across successive conferences of the European Association of Research Managers and Administrators (EARMA, which I chair), is the effort to define what these roles are and to win recognition for them among research-performing organisations, funders and policymakers" "Whatever definition we end up with, it should be drawn as widely as possible. Fundamentally, research management is a bridging role, mediating between researchers, funders, regulators, policymakers and businesses." #rma #researchmanagement #earma #recognition #professionaldevelopment Clarivate Research Professional news #bridge #enablers #research #innovation RM ROADMAP #Action17
