Congratulations, Jamie Salter, Authentic Brands Group Chairman and CEO! What a well-deserved honor to be named 2024 Father of the Year by The National Father’s Day Council on Thursday, June 13.
Just a little something from us at Brooks Brothers for Father’s Day.
This is powerful! College and even hign school student-athletes now have the ability to create their own futures and legacies. The key is to develop the right TEAM to help craft and implement the financial game-plan.

Combining passions for Sport, Business and Teaching, I want to provide high school students with a unique opportunity to learn about the exciting and growing world of Sports Business.
Read this headline and my mind went so many places 🤯
Here's 5x thoughts/trends it brought to mind 📝:
1. 🌊 | NIL Opening the Floodgates: It's an exciting time as college athletes finally get the chance to capitalize financially on their stardom & fanbases while also partnering with brands equipped to scale their visibility. DICK'S Sporting Goods is a great example of that and so is Angel Reese's partnership with Reebok
2. 👀 | Brands Capitalizing on College Athlete Attention: Last year, I worked on my first NIL partnership at VaynerMedia with VaynerSports & the University of Michigan's football team. The means by which the brand/client captured attention & market relevance through our media and organic social campaigns was a testament to the platform college stars have. Ayden Syal has been leading in the space with his company MOGL for those interested in learning more.
3. 🤝🏾 | Athletes <> Personal Brands: There's a rising trend of athletes starting their own entities (i.e. clothing, podcasts, production studios etc). This ability to expand their relevance beyond the sports that launched them into the public eye is such a strategic way to pursue other passions while diversifying/generating wealth. The fact that DICK'S Sporting Goods is carrying her clothing line (not just using her likeness) displays true partnership. Kirby Porter has done a great job covering this with New Game Labs
4.📍| Physical Retail Locations Still Matter: I remember distinctly talking about this in my Luxury Retail class with Professor Charles Skuba at Georgetown University. The key takeaway was that brands could totally survive the prevalence of e-commerce by enhancing the retail experience and finding new ways to drive traffic. I'm no expert (I'll leave that to Ebere) but we've seen that hold true. @Angel Reese is a national and local star and her apparel being available at the Baton Rouge location will undoubtedly drive sales & foot traffic, especially in the heat of basketball season.
5. 🏆 | Another Win for Women's Basketball: Need I say more?
On February 26, I received an earnest request for an immediate phone call with a new peer.
Now-- As a small business owner and Executive Coach for the last 4.5 years, I've learned the hard way that you can't just give your time and expertise away for free.
I've learned that 30 minutes to an hour of me pouring into individuals HAS resulted in $30k, $400k, and millions of dollars worth of consistent growth for their organizations and businesses.
However, there was a sincerity in his request.
Plus, being that Sinclair Ceasar III - Mental Health Speaker is part of the new LSA 48 class and I'm part of the steering committee, something urged me to get on that zoom call.
Immediately, we got to the root of Sinclair's heart-centered business, his messaging, his outreach, and his offer.
Immediately, he edited his documents later that day, and he reached out to his network that already loves and believes in him.
And in less than 2.5 months, he's booked solid.
Sinclair is about to join the prestigious TedX Stage, AND he has 11!!! upcoming talks to destigmatize the conversation around mental health. (make sure you follow him)
I say this to say that:
The role of an Executive Coach (and mentor) isn't to change a person or do the work for them. It's about bringing out what already makes you special.
Some individuals, especially lately, have tried to diminish my work into being "just" a fundraising consultant; but those that say this, clearly don't know me or my work.
I'm an Executive Coach. I'm an encourager. I am an Executive Hype Professional. I'm a strategist. I'm a trainer, panelist, and keynote extraordinaire. I'm an artist, poet, writer, creative. I'm a nurturer and mentor. I'm a transformational leader that works to heal the root issues of leaders to build sustainable and scalable growth.
After serving 200+ missions across the world, I teach my clients to navigate their traumas, dreams, and purpose. Then, I guide them through detailed strategies for success.
I mentor my clients through the highs and lows of doing the very real and hard work of building our communities for the better.
I teach my clients that:
We are ALL more than our dreams on a sheet of paper.
-And-
When you help the world with sincerity, the universe makes a way for you to help the world.
----
Thank you, sincerely, Sinclair for the shout out. I'm so privileged to share a small part of witnessing you positively impact the world with your story and your heart.
Can't wait to celebrate your CONTINUED success! 🙏🏽

With record box office success, it is likely there will be many more movies like Barbie in the future.
What I learned from Mattel's DEI strategy:
1. There’s a reason why everyone says, “Hi, Barbie.” Because everyone is Barbie and everyone can be.
2. I, too, hope my profession in DEI becomes a part of everyone's job some day and isn't a separate role.
3. Barbie started on this journey many years ago. It takes a lot of little intentional steps to shift your culture to inclusion.

Say hello to our Lafayette Branch Manager, Taneika Peterson.
Taneika has been an integral part of the Morales Group, Inc family for 5 years, and she was recently awarded our most prestigious honor, the Golden LEGO. This award symbolizes a teammate who consistently lives out our mission and demonstrates our core values of being humble, being courageous, being a light, (and newly added) being gritty. ⭐️
Let's dive into some fun facts about Taneika below. ⬇️
Who is your idol/most influential in your life?
I am deeply inspired by my great-grandmother, Elizabeth. She was smart, tough, and loving. She is one of the best cooks to touch a cast iron, and where I gain my love for cooking.
What motivates you every day to do what you do best?
My family is my main motivation. Hearing my boys tell me that they are proud of me lets me know that I'm doing something right.
What do you like about working at Morales Group the most?
Diversity and Culture from my employer is so important to me. The one thing I immediately noticed is seeing so many people that look like me, and the culture is real.
What are some hobbies/activities you enjoy?
I love watching HGTV, the #IDChannel and documentaries. I mostly enjoy cooking and spending time with family and friends, and no better way to do so than by enjoying good food. Sunday dinners are always a blast at my house!
What is a pet peeve of yours?
When the volume is turned on or left on an odd number! (🔊😂)
Fun Fact?
Things in clusters cReEp Me OuT! (We agree!)
