Rainbow Washing' refers to companies using #pride symbols and aesthetics without genuinely supporting LGBTQ+ rights and dignity. The LGBTQ+ community faces workplace challenges like discrimination and lack of representation. Companies must actively create inclusive environments beyond Pride Month, showing a constant commitment to equality and inclusion.🌈🌈 Instead of falling into Rainbow Washing, we should focus on concrete actions promoting diversity and inclusion. This means implementing non-discrimination policies, training and awareness programs, and ensuring active LGBTQ+ representation at all levels, both internally and externally. Pride is not confined to a month but requires ongoing commitment.🌈🌈 We love being the ones who accompany you in boosting your brand. #womenownedmedia #nondiscrimantion #minorities

Ultimately, being an ally is the right thing to do – but that’s not the only reason it matters. Read more here: https://bit.ly/3J0vZMX #APSCo #Fertility #LGBTQIAPlus

Today, Ari Shaw, Ph.D. represented The Williams Institute at UCLA School of Law on a panel at the Milken Institute Global Conferenece on The Role of Companies for LGBTQ+ Rights. We are beyond grateful to Briland Graves, Brian Patrick Fano Carandang, and Richard Ditizio for making this important conversation come to life. “In the United States alone, nearly 14 million adults identify as LGBTQ+. The LGBTQ+ community currently wields $1 trillion in spending power—a metric that is only expected to grow. As the community becomes increasingly represented in employee and consumer bases alike, what role should corporations play in LGBTQ+ rights? How does it inform how and when companies make business decisions?” You can watch the whole panel here: https://lnkd.in/gBnrUVS6 #MIGLOBAL
