In the past 6 months, I've applied for over 90 management positions in aquatics, athletics, camping, and restaurants, resulting in 25 initial interviews, 8 second interviews, and 4 additional interviews. Despite being flown out for 2 final interviews, one job offer was rescinded when I tried negotiating salary, and the other company ghosted me. Only a few employers communicated rejections, with minimal feedback provided. When I secure my next role, I commit to transparent communication. If I interview you and you're not selected, I'll ensure you understand the decision. #JobSearch #Interviewing #Communication

“How to ace an interview” Some key takeaways from my interactive talk yesterday at the Work Smart Event. 💭 Think back to a good or bad interview - remember your feelings & what went well/not so well - often we already have the answers. 🫣 The interview has begun before you think it has. 🤝🏻 The more hands you shake, the more money you take. ⏰ Patience and perseverance - there’s a job for you. 👆🏼 Remember to follow up post interview. A job fair attended by 750 job seekers, in addition to a variety of exhibitors, talks from some inspiring guests (insert names), panel discussions and workshops as well as giveaways and in person interviews. If you’ve messaged me and I’ve not responded yet, remember what I said above, patience 😉 Here’s to the city that gets things done and more importantly the city that has the best people to get those things done 🤝🏻 Need help recruiting or finding that perfect job?
