🌟 Redefining Digital Trust: Joining as Executive Director at DIF 🌟 To my valued network, I am deeply grateful and excited to share with you that I am starting as Executive Director of the Decentralized Identity Foundation. This new role is an extension of my longstanding dedication and involvement with an organization that I deeply believe in. As a committed member of DIF, contributing to various specifications and initiatives over the years, and former steering committee member I have witnessed first-hand DIF's remarkable growth and impact -- most recently through the tremendous stewardship of Clare Nelson, CISSP, CIPP-E, AWS CCP. Her leadership has been instrumental in expanding DIF and building a world class team featuring Damian Glover, Limari Navarrete, and Pratap Mridha. I am excited to work with this team and build upon the solid foundation they've built. Now, as I step into this leadership role, my focus will be on several key priorities: - Increasing Member Support: ensuring contributors are supported through the work item process, to successfully incubate draft specifications, SDKs, use cases, and other valuable efforts - Lowering barriers to adoption of decentralized identity technologies and approaches: the components are there, and they are just waiting to be formed into the trusted identity rails for architectures of the future. DIF can provide tremendous value in demonstrating how to get started. - Exploring New Use Cases: Some use cases I'm exciting about nurturing include Internet of Things (IOT) and Reusable Identity for improved onboarding. - Further aligning with the The Linux Foundation, and LF's Digital Trust Initiative: I think of the Digital Trust Initiative as a strongly connected subgraph, providing all the key foundational elements of future architectures enabling trust and authenticity by design. Many more details to come! 🌐 Meet Me in Davos: Meet me at digitalswitzerland Village in Davos, as we discuss identity as cornerstone for a country’s digital public infrastructure and future economic growth. Thank you for your support and encouragement as I take on this new role. Here's to a future filled with innovation and collaboration! Reach out any time to chat about DIF and how we can help you build identity solutions of the future. #NewBeginnings #DecentralizedIdentity #DIF #DigitalTrust #LinuxFoundation
DIF is thrilled to welcome Kim Hamilton Duffy as our new Executive Director! Kim is a well-known figure at the heart of the decentralized identity technical community. She has been instrumental in pioneering early open source projects in the space, and has held leadership roles in technical standards and interoperability groups including the World Economic Forum, W3C, Decentralized Identity Foundation, and US Chamber of Commerce Foundation. Kim brings over two decades of experience in software engineering and distributed systems to the ED role, together with a wealth of market insights and personal contacts. She takes over operational leadership of DIF from our outgoing ED Clare Nelson, effective today. Welcome Kim!! Also DIF says a big Thank You to our wonderful outgoing ED, Clare Nelson, CISSP, CIPP-E, AWS CCP, who has gone on sabbatical at the end of her one-year contact, having handed over the reins of operational leadership to Kim. Clare has made a big impact in a short period of time and leaves DIF in great shape, having helped build an effective organization that supports our members to innovate, implement and scale up. Clare brought clarity and focus to DIF’s operational activities, sharpened how we communicate the value of DIF membership, built strong relationships with our liaison partners and stakeholders and helped forge productive relationships with new partners like ID4Africa and SIDI Hub. She used her extensive experience and contacts within the identity industry to build bridges, awareness and understanding of decentralized identity technologies in the wider technology sector, while always advocating powerfully for our members, and the close-knit team she built. She leaves DIF with a clear focus, stronger operational capabilities and an enhanced reputation. Thank you Clare! https://lnkd.in/gSyKPfFV

It's like 'Docs Without Borders', but officially now easier to get to than ever! And hey, it's always a good tip to "Read The Fantastic Manual"!! Red Hat has moved the access to all Red Hat official documentation to the now easy to get to, and remember, URL of https://docs.redhat.com. It's live and reachable there now, and by mid-May all previous links and routes to Red Hat documentation will point there, including from the Red Hat Customer Portal. So what are you waiting for? Go read a manual! 😁
