Level-funded plan are one of the few ways for employers to continue to be able to offer affordable benefits. And contrary to what the government believes, they are typically designed, or packaged, to allow smaller employers to participate without taking excessive risk, and having to being experts in self-funding. Of course using an advisor that is well educated in self-funding always helps too.
