Adaptable Career Levels: Standard vs. Flexible Job Titles Job architecture projects typically include a Career Level document that defines what each level requires related to: · Scope · Complexity · Problem Solving · Accountability · Impact · Discretion · Interaction · Supervision · Knowledge and Experience And then the labels for the Career Levels are typically: · Craft = C1 – C3 · Support = S1 – S4 · Professional = P1 – P4 · Management = M1 – M4 · Executive = E1 = E4 Of course, the number of levels in each category vary based on size of company and the work performed. And the categories vary as well. I often have employer clients who want to use standard job titles for the individual contributor jobs. · Example: Instead of using P1 – P4, they want to use Assistant, Coordinator, Specialist, and Senior Specialist as the Career Level labels. · I always try to get them to embrace the use of P1 – P4 because not all professions should have the same job title at the same Career Level. · Some individual contributor jobs should be titled with terms like Operator, Analyst, Technician, and Clerk. It is far easier to have standard job titles for people managers that align to the Career Levels. For instance,… · M1 – M4 is Supervisor, Manager, Sr Manager, and Director. · E1 – E4 is VP, SVP, EVP, and CEO. Navigating Career Choices: Staff vs Contract Roles in Pharma 🔬 ☑️ Financial Prospects Staff positions typically offer a stable income and benefits package, which is great for long-term financial planning. Conversely, contract roles can command higher hourly rates, reflecting the flexible nature and specific expertise required for short-term projects. 🤝🏻 Reporting Hierarchy Staff roles to tend to offer a greater opportunity to engage with multiple stakeholders. A contractor has a clear reporting relationship and their engagement with other teams tend to be limited to the particular project they are working on. 🔨 Getting the Job Done Staff employees are often involved in the company's long-term goals, while contractors are brought on board to tackle specific projects or to offer their niche expertise. This distinction ensures that contractors deliver specialised, high-impact work within set timelines. 📈 Career Development Saff roles typically enjoy structured career growth through promotions and internal training. For the most part, contractors are responsible for their own development and need to invest their own time and effort in keeping their skills and understanding up to speed. Choosing between permanent and contract work in pharma and life sciences hinges on personal and career priorities. Are you looking for stability or variety? Structured growth or skill diversity? Whatever path you choose, both can be rewarding and instrumental in achieving your professional milestones. #CareerChoices #PharmaCareers #ContractVsPermanent

The latest 'Skills Priority List' reveals that 36% of the assessed occupations are experiencing a shortage. The most significant shortages are found in Technicians and Trade Workers, as well as Professional occupations such as those in healthcare, engineering, information communication technology (ICT), and scientific fields. These shortages are particularly pronounced in regional and remote areas. Within this report, our profession is categorised as "Clerical & Administrative," encompassing 65 different job titles, including Accounts Clerk, Admissions Clerk, Bank Worker, Bookkeeper, Book Marker, Receptionist, and Stock Clerk, among others. Notably, there is a skills shortage in our profession for Contract Administrators and Legal Secretaries in all states except Western Australia. Two key aspects and concerns that stand out in this report are: 1. The diversity of job titles within our profession. 2. Whether this assessment covers both public and private sector roles. #talentcommunity We've seen 4 people land jobs in the past 10 days. It dawned on me we could probably help a few more from the community if they knew which jobs we were actively working on... If there is interest from the community, we have the potential to set up a functional / private job board that would allow you to see all of our active roles and then to apply directly for interview. Note: the way we run the board / backlog is that if they are not active, they aren't posted. Imagine a job board built with transparency and collaboration in mind... Do you want access to a list of active jobs such as: (if so please drop a comment with your email) #Management - Chief of Staff - Controller - Director FP&A - Director IT - Director Medical Staff Services - Director of Payroll - Director Retail Marketing - Head of Product - Maintenance Manager - Plant Manager - Regional Sales Director - Retail Store Manager - Safety Manager - Strategic Director of Healthcare Marketing #Product & Marketing - Associate Product Development Manager - Category Marketing Planning Manager - Executive Designer - Product Manager #Engineering & IT - Data Engineer - Electrical Engineer - Endpoint Engineer - Collaboration Tool Specialist - Executive Support Engineer - Golang Engineer - IT Engineer - IT Systems Engineer - Process Innovation and Technology Engineer - Software Packaging - Tech Lead (ML Expert) #Finance & Accounting - Accounting Manager - Payroll Specialist - Senior Fund Accountant #Healthcare - Hospital Inpatient Coding Specialist - Mental Health Professional III - Patient Access Manager - Regional VP Oncology Services - Traveling Nurse - Per Diem Nurse #Human Resources - HR Generalist #Sales - Business Development Manager - Technical Account Manager

I have consistently participated in the hiring process, including candidate screening and conducting interviews while still engaging in legal and compliance duties. While my primary background is in Legal and Compliance Management, my passion for Human Resources led me to enroll in so many HR programs and currently, HR Tech program (Cohort 2) at University of Freelancing I am dedicated to continuous learning and skill acquisition, not only to expand my knowledge but also to leverage technology to streamline HR processes. The learning experience has been great, amongst many things, creating an onboarding chatbot and learning and development portal stood out for me. Knowledge is most valuable asset because no matter what happens, no one can take away what you know and what you can do from you.
