July 4th is General #Election Day! Do we know the manifestos of the two leading parties? Do we know what we are voting for? Red decided that for our workforce, (not unlike many in the UK) the answer is likely no! So, in a bid to make sure that our staff really understand the election and its implications for them, we are holding ‘The Great Red Debate’ on Tuesday 2nd July. This is an internal session and a bit of fun to boot! For ‘The Great Red Debate’ #teamred have been randomly placed into two teams today, one Red and the other Blue. That’s already been interesting as we’ve seen individuals being put in to represent the party that perhaps they wouldn’t want to! On July 2nd, the teams will have 20 minutes each at the start of the debate to ‘sell’ their manifesto. Then, strap ourselves in, the debate will begin - skillfully mediated by Katy Forsyth! We hope that this will give us all a valuable session learning about the parties vying to run our country, and help the team to make an educated decision on how to vote. For #teamred, a large team of mostly young recruitment professionals, this is particularly important given the proposed and potential changes to employment law that would have huge ramifications on our industry and business. The team will soon be planning their speeches and putting on their politician hats as they gear up to debate! We look forward to sharing some take-aways. Wish us luck, this could get heated! #Vote #GeneralElection #BritishPolitics #RecruitmentSpecialists #ContactCentres

Here's What Yesterday’s UK Election Taught Me About Recruitment 🗯 Yesterday, millions across the UK voted in the election. It was a day of choices, campaigns, and queues! Reflecting on the process, I saw clear parallels with recruitment: 1. First Impressions Matter: Just like a candidate’s CV, initial campaign pitches were crucial. In recruitment, making a strong first impression can set the tone for success. 2. Consistency is Key: Throughout the election, consistent messaging built trust. Similarly, candidates should ensure their experience and goals align to create a coherent story. 3. Engagement Wins: Candidates who engaged with the public and showed they cared gained support. In job searches, active engagement and genuine interest can make all the difference. Whether it's winning votes or securing top talent, the principles of connection, consistency, and engagement are vital. #Recruitment #Elections #CareerLessons #JobSearchTips
