Founder & CEO of FAB (Female Advisory Board) - private member peer advisory boards aimed at empowering women to share and overcome business challenges though impartiality, learning, empathy & owning the solution.
Hard to articulate the profound impact Richard McCann had on the members of the Leeds Female Advisory Board this month... This incredible man has gone through so much in his lifetime, yet he has channeled all that grit and resilience into becoming a recognised, global motivational speaker. I'm a firm believer that we are products of the environment we create for ourselves and that our past doesn't dictate our future but allows us the opportunity to carve it the way we choose. It was an honour to welcome Richard, who ran a Presentation Skills workshop with the board. As leaders we all have to present the best version of ourselves, our authenticity and credibility and that can be quite daunting, especially when standing in front of a large audience or even a small one. It was fascinating to see just how, within a few hours, the members stood differently, maintained their posture differently, spoke differently, gave themselves time to pause and gained confidence within the session. I can't wait to welcome him back to the other groups and for anyone who doesn't know Richard's story - you will be blown away. #peeradvisorygroups #resilience #motivated

Special thanks to Christopher MacCabe for sharing Ball Corporation's steadfast journey in establishing data as an enterprise focus and function at last week's The Hackett Group Inc.'s Symposium. In the advent of businesses standing on the precipice of transforming work with generative AI, establishing data as a foundational capability is paramount. #datagovernance #datamanagement #dataanalytics #datastewardship #dataquality #mdm #datastrategy

The Value of Non-Executive Directors
Business Improvement | Coach | Consultant | Chair of Board of Trustees | Non Exec Board Member | Food Production | FMCG | Agriculture | Retail Partnering | Strategic Development | Managing Director
Congratulations and thank you to the MorePeople team and all the speakers at todays The Value of Non-Executive Directors conference. It was excellent! The afternoon was packed with insight and advice from a carefully selected panel of speakers who all shared their lived experiences of being, advising or hiring Non-Exec Directors. There were so many take away messages from the event. The 3 that resonated with me the most were; 1. Take NED roles where you will be energised, and only stay as long as you continue to add value 2. A well appointed NED thinks about your business every day, even though they work for you just a few days a month 3. Trust and curiosity can be more important than specific industry knowledge
