Swinging towards a great cause! Our CareCentrix team members showed their support for a great cause by participating in the 22nd Annual Charlotte Hungerford Hospital Golf Classic. We are proud of this event, which brought together the community to raise over $200,000 for the hospital’s Food4Health initiative, a free program that provides food-insecure patients and caregivers with greater access to nutritious foods. Thanks to our team for being a part of this amazing effort! #CareCentrixCares

CEO Grow Midwives, LLC; March for Moms, Founding President/Board Member; Past President ACNM; Editor Top Selling Book, 2nd Ed., Nobody Told Me About That: Surviving and Thriving Through the Early Weeks of Parenting
#MarchforMoms program in June, in Philly will continue to emphasize how community based partners are poised with HOW to improve outcomes for childbearing families without decades of policy debate and state/federal funding. In our third year of lifting up CBOs, these organizations are the heart of the community, providing critical work on slim margins and small staff. These organizations have the trust of the community. These organizations bring cultural congruency to facilitate health of families that often struggle with health literacy and trust with instutionalized care. These organizations have much to share about their work, their needs, and how YOU can help. I challenge every healthcare provider that has not heard the stories of community-based work to set biases aside and listen. You will be moved to understand the URGENCY to integrate a variety of CBO care models into the most broken healthcare system of all industrialized nations. #MarchforMoms #ExpandYourTeam #CommunityBasedHealthCare

Why Every Doctor Should Volunteer Medical Check-Up Camps ? Beyond the clinic walls lies a world where access to healthcare is a struggle. Participating in medical health check-up camps isn't just volunteering - it's a chance to be a champion for preventive care! Here's why every doctor should consider joining the cause: -Early detection saves lives: Catch health issues before they snowball. Camps can identify silent killers like hypertension or diabetes, leading to timely intervention. -Reaching the underserved: Not everyone can afford regular checkups. Camps bridge the gap, offering vital screenings to those who might otherwise go untreated. -A fresh perspective: Camps expose you to a diverse range of patients and conditions, enriching your clinical experience and fostering empathy. Community connection: Doctors become trusted figures, educating communities about preventative health and empowering them to take charge of their well-being. Together, we can make healthcare accessible for all. Are you ready to be a check-up champion? Join a camp near you! Partnering with local media can be invaluable in raising awareness of hospice funding challenges. It also helps mobilise support from the local community. Bolton Hospice worked with an Editor to secure a weekly spot in their local newspaper. Each issue shared hospice stories with the public, addressing misconceptions and highlighting the importance of hospice services. Want to do something similar at your hospice?
