They want to get in as early as possible in order to increase their chances of being hired, because they believe if they're late, the project would be completely staffed... But that's not TRUE!!! The only TRUTH here is that you're asking to be their community manager or moderator or Collab manager... which is why you're not getting it... What should you do instead?? This right here is what you should do⤵️ 1. Look into the community (Research) 2. Find out a dire need in the community 3. Find a solution to this dire need 4. Offer this solution to the project 5. Get hired. Notice here... You didn't need to go talking about you being a community manager... You simply found out what they needed and helped them solve it.

According to media and social media, the IT landscape, specifically software businesses / agencies, have suffered from a poor macro economy. It is in the news, so, it has to be true, right? Let me paint you a picture of how I see it at the moment. I might spice it up a bit, but I'm sure you'll get the gist. A poor economy turning into a lack of investment in digital solutions has created less need for developers. So, corporations and especially agencies had to react, and suddenly there are AVAILABLE DEVELOPERS in the talent market. And better yet, they are actively seeking new opportunities. Crazy, I know. The influx of talented candidates is keeping recruiting executives on their toes. You can almost feel the enthusiasm in their applications: "I know Python and am a team player!" I personally love it. Long may it continue. Eager developers with a forever junior mindset are the backbone of any thriving software agency. But no wonder the media is taking notice. Less projects, more competition. Surely this is a near-impossible market to thrive in, right? How did Software Sauna manage this period? Well, thanks for asking. Here are some numbers comparing last year's H1 to this year's H1: Amount of customer meetings has increased by 51% Our turnover has increased by 25% Our profitability has increased a meager 130% The market has been difficult, we reluctantly admit. Still, there seems to be massive demand for quality nearshoring at the moment. The status quo of software consulting has been broken, and tech leaders are looking for new ways, new solutions, and new partners to start ramping up their capabilities with.
