Keep to your schedule and give the extra effort where needed. 🎱 It's also important to keep fear at bay. Yes, exams can be intimidating, but remember that fear is often just a trick of the mind. Don't let it hold you back or cloud your judgment. Instead, focus on your preparation. Trust in God, and believe in yourself. You've put in the hard work, and now it's time to shine. 🎱 As you sit down to take your exams, take a deep breath and center yourself. Remember all the hours you've dedicated to studying, all the concepts you've mastered, and all the challenges you've overcome. It was time to recognize the achievements of our SMU School of Accountancy students, in terms of Academic (Dean’s List), CCA (Student Life Excellence Award), ACE (Academic & CIRCLE Excellence Award) as well as external achievements such as winners of Case Competitions or Exams organized by the various accounting professional bodies. More than 130 students across the 4 batches of students (Year 2 to Year 4 and the graduates) received their awards last week on Friday afternoon, together with their proud parents & relatives! Faculties too joined in the celebration as their students’ achievements are testaments to the hard work that all of us in the SMU School of Accountancy have put in over the past 1 year, educating & nurturing them to be winners academically and in the working world in the future 🙏 I was also heartened to see many of my Valuation students (both past & present) receiving their well-deserved awards. Aung Myin Oo is a big winner on Friday as he bagged 3 awards (please correct me if I am wrong 😀). Two Indonesian students Vanessa Kristin Suhanny & Fiona Auralia also won the Dean’s List award, keeping the tradition from Diamond Koalitas last year. Diamond was also placed in the Dean’s List again for her final year and well deserved! My first Valuation TA Tan Li Ying was also placed in the Dean’s List 👍 Unfortunately, I couldn’t stay long for the event as I had another important call related to a panel discussion on SMU - X to attend to in the same afternoon. We all analyze our plans when we fail - What went wrong? Had I not worked hard enough? Where did I lacked? What to Improve further ? And the questions are endless............But But...........We never analyze our plans once we get pass........Why so?...........Isn't it important to remember how you achieved your goal What actually went right ? How much hard we worked? How we Overcome our weaknesses? And most importantly - Who were the people who actually supported you during the journey ? I feel these questions are equally important, Since the feeling of self appreciation and happiness are the best motivators in themselves. This was like the best session I have ever attended in a very long time.
