In my real job outside of YouTube, we really deep dive into measuring success. Now our perspective is from an Information Operations Planner supporting military operations but…the concept remains the same. Whether you are assessing a marketing campaign, conducting sentiment analysis, or measuring the outcome of a Commander’s Endstate - same same. The VA is reporting a 91% approval rating from Veterans. This is solid. This also makes me start to question. Sentiment analysis can be easily skewed. Anywho, food for thought. Way to go, VA. Keep it up. For more: https://lnkd.in/eTik9kjU

DAV National Service Officer | Army Combat Veteran | Retired Soldier at DAV (Disabled American Veterans)
"Throughout the past decade, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs has experienced significant growth and difficulty implementing reforms that guarantee #veterans receive timely access to quality health care. For #VA to maintain its role as the primary provider of timely and quality care, it must address the challenge of an aging infrastructure by improving its internal capacity through the construction and modernization of facilities. Unfortunately, VA medical facilities have a median age of nearly 60 years, which poses a challenge with renovations. Facilities of this era were not designed to accommodate the technological and design innovation needs that support modern health care delivery systems. H.R. 3225, the BUILD for Veterans Act, aims to enhance the VA's capital asset program by improving planning and oversight, providing more consistent funding, and strengthening capabilities to start and complete projects to better serve veterans, their families, caregivers, and survivors. In keeping with the support provided for the Senate version of this bill, S. 42, DAV (Disabled American Veterans) also supports H.R. 3225, in accordance with DAV Resolution No. 247, calling for modernization of the VA’s health care infrastructure to provide veterans with the quality care and benefits they deserve." Please contact your representatives through our Commander's Action Network and urge them to co-sponsor and support H.R. 3225, the BUILD for Veterans Act! #DAV #DAVCAN

For the U.S. military, data is changing the nature of healthcare. Better data improves the continuity of care of soldiers, it enables analysts to track trends in veterans’ healthcare, and it helps military leaders protect the health of our warfighters. When Defense Health Agency tasked Naval Information Warfare Center Atlantic with migrating and archiving critical healthcare data as part of a larger modernization effort of DoD healthcare systems, ECS was trusted as a partner to support the mission. Learn how ECS helped create a legacy data consolidation solution to help NIWC archive legacy data and make better decisions around the health and security of our nation’s warfighters. https://lnkd.in/eNHE3vCm #ECS #ECSCloud #Missionsolutions #LDCS #HealthcareDataManagement #CloudSolutions #NIWC #DOD #Military #Healthcare #Veterans

The Defense Health Agency (DHA) is pursuing a major transformation of its military health system (MHS), seeking commercial solutions to develop a new care model. The Defense Innovation Unit's solicitation notice highlighted that the MHS's current operating model is unsustainable for maintaining medical force readiness and requires a new, technology-enabled framework. The planned approach focuses on enhancing patient experience, integrating provider-supporting technology in the health ecosystem, and improving data management. Key to this initiative is a "digital front door" offering self-scheduling, provider search, and secure communication, as well as reducing administrative burdens on healthcare providers. According to DHA, the goal is to make the MHS more patient-centered and efficient, matching or exceeding civilian healthcare standards. This effort follows a Department of Defense memo emphasizing the need to reattract patients, improve access, and maintain military clinical readiness, while addressing concerns over the potential downsizing or outsourcing of care to the private sector. #defensehealthagency #militaryhealthsystem #defenseinnovationunit #patientexperience #digitalhealth #datamanagement #healthcaretransformation #militaryreadiness #commercialtechnology #patientcenteredcare Source- https://lnkd.in/g93MPyah

They're going to do a 30-day study at the Pentagon. Here's a short version of a possible procedure. 1. If you are the secretary of defense - in the chain of command - and you are going to be in the hospital, call the White House. Ask to talk to the president. Say I'm going to be in the hospital for several days. So-and-so is in charge. 2. Call the chairman of the joint chiefs. Tell him the same thing. He can tell the chiefs. The person you've left in charge can notify combatant commanders who is in charge. 3. Tell the press room at the Pentagon. 4. When you get back, first thing, call the White House, tell the president, then tell the chairman of the joint chiefs and the combatant commanders. Tell the press room. That's it. I have not thought deeply about this.

Effective data sharing amongst federal agencies is a key factor in streamlining the patient experience, leading to faster claims process times, increased access to telehealth platforms, secure care coordination, and improved health outcomes for military members and veterans. The Lovell Federal Health Care Center is launching a new Federal Electronic Health Record (FEHR) next month, which will allow the DOD and VA to share patient data interdepartmentally and with the broader U.S. healthcare system. By reducing time spent on tedious administrative tasks relating to health records, DOD and VA employees are free to prioritize more complex, meaningful duties. Our service members deserve the very best care. At National Government Services, we recognize the power of data modernization as a vital enabler that can enhance the quality of care for military personnel, veterans, and their families.
