It's not uncommon for people to experience a range of emotions during this festive time. If you're comfortable, here are a few suggestions that might help lift your spirits: Reach Out to Loved Ones: Connect with friends or family members, even if it's just a phone call or a video chat. Sharing your feelings with someone you trust can make a significant difference. Engage in Festive Activities: Participate in activities that bring you joy, whether it's decorating your living space, watching holiday movies, or listening to festive music. Engaging in these activities can create a more festive atmosphere. Volunteer or Help Others: Consider volunteering or helping others in some way. Acts of kindness, even small ones, can provide a sense of purpose and fulfillment. Join Online Communities: There are many online communities and forums where people share their experiences, provide support, and engage in conversations. It might be helpful to connect with others who are experiencing similar feelings. Practice Self-Care: Take care of yourself physically and emotionally. This could involve activities such as going for a walk, practicing mindfulness, or indulging in a favorite hobby. Seek Professional Support: If loneliness is persistent and affecting your well-being, consider reaching out to a mental health professional. They can provide support and strategies to cope with these feelings. Plan for the Future: Consider making plans for the future, whether it's setting personal goals or planning activities you look forward to. Having something to look forward to can be uplifting. Remember that it's okay to feel the way you do, and seeking support from friends, family, or professionals is a strength, not a weakness. Wishing you comfort and warmth during this holiday season. If you'd like to talk or share more about what you're going through, I'm here for you. #merrychristmas #christmasjoy #holidaycheer #festiveseason #christmasmagic #seasonsgreetings

𝟑𝟎 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐮𝐧 ☀️ 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐈 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐭? I celebrated my 30th birthday on Saturday and on reflection I have been thinking about what my biggest lessons have been so far in life and I wanted to share them with you. I’ve narrowed it down to 3: 1. Enjoy the passage of time - We’re always so busy and trying to race through life to get to the next stage, take a step back and enjoy it, all of it. It passes by at a rate of knots and if we don’t enjoy it what has it all been for? 2. Build a good support network - Have a network of people around you that build you up, not pull you down. They’ll give you genuine advice and not tell you what you want to hear. Ultimately they support you and your goals just as you do theirs and celebrate your wins with as much delight for you as you have for yourself. 3. Continue setting yourself goals and targets in all aspects of your life - Keep striving for more, don’t settle for anything less than what you think you are capable of. Always have something to work towards and keep the mind and body active. You only get one go around, make the most of it! These are but a few of life’s endless lessons that I thought I’d share! Live your life, enjoy it, make memories! Here’s to another 30!

This is a cute post. Shame they didn't commit to the bit and reference a real package 🙁 > $ npm install happy-new-year > ... > npm ERR! 404 'happy-new-year@latest' is not in the npm registry. > npm ERR! 404 You should bug the author to publish it (or use the name yourself!)
Happy new year to you all ❤️

Crazy format, yet wonderful outcome! Last night was the first time I have attended a DisruptHR event. My colleague and friend Jenny Barkan, ACC was a speaker. In 5 minutes she provided a background to the topic of hybrid work and simple but powerful actions to put to use immediately. I say it is a crazy format because the delivery of ideas was tightly limited to 5 minutes, with presentation slides advancing automatically every 20 seconds. Speakers were expected to provide ideas that are controversial or new to the field. Everyone delivered! One idea I went away pondering is provide interview candidates with the questions in adavance of a job interview. That seems taboo, but I think it is worth experimenting. I would love to hear what idea stuck with other attendees at last night's event?
Here we go! 👀⚡️
