Healthcare professionals understand the importance of providing safe and effective care to patients. However, did you know that hospital acquired infections (HAIs) cost the UK healthcare system an estimated £1 billion every year? This staggering statistic highlights the impact of HAIs on not only our patients' well-being, but also on the financial burden it places on our healthcare system. These infections not only prolong hospital stays and increase treatment costs, but also lead to additional strain on our already stretched resources. It is imperative that we continue to prioritize infection control measures and work towards reducing the occurrence of HAIs. This includes proper hand hygiene protocols and effective disinfection technology. Together, we can make a difference in preventing HAIs and creating a safer healthcare environment for our patients. Let's continue to raise awareness and implement best practices to combat this costly issue. sis-innovations.co.uk #HAIawareness #patientcare #healthcaresolutions

Did You Know? 🤔 Catheter mounts are essential components in medical settings, offering a range of benefits for patient care. 1. Enhanced Patient Comfort: By providing flexibility and movement between the patient and the breathing system, catheter mounts help minimize discomfort during procedures. 2. Improved Accessibility: These mounts make it easier for healthcare professionals to access and manage airways, ensuring more effective and efficient care. 3. Versatility: Catheter mounts are compatible with various breathing systems, including ventilators and anesthesia machines, making them a crucial part of many medical protocols. 4. Infection Control: Many catheter mounts are designed for single-use, significantly reducing the risk of cross-contamination and infection. Catheter mounts may seem like a small part of medical equipment, but they play a big role in ensuring patient safety and comfort. #Healthcare #MedicalDevices #PatientCare #CatheterMounts #medtech #IDEALCARE #medicaldevices #malaysia

Every hospital is committed to reducing HAI, which not only profoundly impact patient health but also burden the healthcare system. Among them, surgical site infections are the largest source of costs. But do you know that enhancing standard cleaning protocols in hospital can better control infections? Our #HyperLight Disinfection Robot, backed by numerous clinical studies, demonstrates high efficacy in infection control within healthcare facilities. Through a non-contact, chemical-free disinfection method, it rapidly achieves sterilization goals for the environment, providing a safer space for cleaning staff, medical teams, and patients. Healthcare Acquired Infections (HAIs) are more common that you would think and they add a huge burden to healthcare. We can help healthcare practitioners reduce this risk and increase their efficiency by educating them and providing the right tools and processes for an optimum sterilization of surgical equipment, which would allow them to send their patients home safely after their surgery.
In 2022, WHO released its first-ever Global Report on Infection Prevention and Control. Shockingly, in high-income countries, 7 out of 100 patients get at least one healthcare associated infections (HAI) during their hospital stay, while in low- and middle-income countries, it's 15 out of 100. Unfortunately, on average, 1 in every 10 affected patients doesn't make it. Because HAIs are most common in surgical patients or patients receiving long-term care, medical sterilization equipment is a key player in the battle to combat the spread of HAIs. Discover how our STERRAD™ System can help in preventing HAIs here: https://lnkd.in/dGiujUM8 #WHO #InfectionPrevention #WeAreASP
