The Commercial market for Boeing versus Airbus? Boeing first love ❤️ is Aircrafts and Products for the US Department of Defense Annual $1.7 Trillion Budget. Boeing is the World’s largest defense contractor which is its largest revenue generator. Following the Money. Most of Boeing 18 Executives (3 Women) have previous involvement with the US Military Industrial Complex. Thank GOD for Board Member Caroline Kennedy to counter Board Member Nikki Haley. The Board is firing the CEO and several other Executives. Both President Eisenhower and Dr King expressed concern with the overall impact the US Military Industrial Complex could have both home and Airbus first love ❤️ is Commerical its largest revenue generator. Airbus 50 Top Executives have no previous Military involvement. Thirteen of the 50 are Women. Airbus Military Revenue is about 11% of its total while Boeing is greater than 40%.

In a recent conversation with some of the younger members of the SASIG Events team I was astounded to learn that two of them hadn’t watched the original Top Gun from 1986. Two hadn’t watch Apollo 13 and one other didn’t even know the story. It made me wonder what other seminal films that I loved in my time have inevitably passed others by. My recommendations would be: 1. “Apollo 13” (obviously - the best film ever, I’m not arguing) 2. “Crocodile Dundee” (1 and 2, they need to be watched together, a rare example of where the sequel is better than the original and the sum is greater than the parts) 3. “Top Gun” (the original from 1986) (the 2022 version was disappointing except for Val Kilmer’s brave and absolutely heart-breaking reprise) Not very high-brow I know, so I’ll add to my list (from 1946 so it may be too dated for the modern eye) “Twelve O'Clock High” with Gregory Peck playing a wartime USAF bomber squadron commander. This is such a marvellous treatise on leadership that we were shown it during our officer training at RAF College Cranwell in the 1970s and I’ve never forgotten it. Oh, and from 1964 there's "Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb". What are your favourites? What would you recommend others to watch (upwards and downwards in generations). Answers on a (Linked In) post card below...

21st Century Dummies 2016 Army shooting range doctrine on movers calls for lead to be displayed as "target forms" - silhouettes or mannequins at the range, with the spatial lead on movers represented as n number of forms in front of the target at the range, horizontally. In a Synthetic Training Environment CFT U.S. Army PEO STRI simulator, this makes no sense, since the lead target form can be displayed in the ballistically correct position in front of the target, as shown below in green, at any angle, without a horizontal chorus line of dummies between them 😎 Same drill for United States Marine Corps. Totally 21st Century

Very important study on SOF.
Do you think Special Forces operators are mean, lean, killing machines? Think again. They're superiorly smart all-rounders who have to be able to deal with whatever comes their way. Our data show IQ is the strongest predictor for success in a Tier 1 qualification course. Extremely happy to finally see this published. A good example of how our academic research serves our operational military community at Royal Military Academy, Belgium This has been a huge team effort, so thank you Jeroen Van Cutsem Martine Van Puyvelde Nicholas van den Berg Emilie Lacroix Emilie Dessy Camille V.
