Johnson Controls, the global leader in smart, healthy and sustainable buildings, honored Children’s of Alabama as an OpenBlue Pioneer. The award is presented to businesses advancing a more sustainable, safe and healthy world supported by Johnson Controls technology and expertise. 🌱 In 2008, Children’s signed a 25-year contract with Johnson Controls to build, design, operate and maintain its new central utility plant. The plant includes hundreds of computer-controlled monitors and advanced controls that provide real-time responses to changes in weather, humidity and hospital needs. It also recycles water and steam to improve the overall system's efficiency. These advancements have resulted in significant energy savings, rapid cost reduction, enhanced fault detection and uninterrupted utilities for the hospital.

Sales Director Latin America HVAC, Controls, Fire and Security @ Johnson Controls | Professional Engineer
2023 was the warmest year since global records began in 1850 and the summer of 2024 is shaping up to be another scorcher in many parts of the world. With demand for air conditioning likely to be at an all-time high, we at Johnson Controls are working diligently to ensure that buildings can meet demand in the most efficient way possible. Our smart building technologies monitor energy usage on a real-time basis and can predict where and when the largest needs will be so the system can plan accordingly and turn down the cooling in areas that don’t need it as much. Stay cool… and green. 😎 If you want to learn more about how we can help your building operate more efficiently, get started here: https://on.jci.com/42anS8C
