I’ve been at LinkedIn for six years! What’s the value of sticking with one company as opposed to changing roles every two or three years? Here’s what I’ve learned:👇 🙂 You won’t sweat the small stuff. After a few years, you gain a long-term perspective that comes with having seen the successes and the failures. When there is a new ask, you think, ‘We can handle this’. 🤗 You will care about your work mates. Yes, you can be fast friends with a colleague you just met, but over the years, you’ll see them succeed, struggle, fail, overcome, become parents, hit milestones and these experiences create a deeper sense of empathy and care. 💪 You will get your shot eventually. Whatever it is you want to do, if you let it be known, and keep at it, you’ll eventually be given the chance to prove yourself. It just might not be in the first two years. As an Saas Business Development Manager with diverse experience in Sales development, Strategy, Product management, Operations, and business analysis, staying engaged seems daunting. LinkedIn is an amazing professional platform! But it requires effort and consistency to stand out! I joined in 2022 and landed my first job through the platform, despite not getting many likes or comments on my posts. The employer had been following my updates and reached out to me directly! It's not always easy to keep up, but consistency is key. Keep showing up, engaging with others' content, and dropping reactions. It pays off in the long run! Don't get discouraged by slow engagement. Not every time success story… When I joined LinkedIn, I felt lost. It seemed like everyone was sharing achievements, promotions, and success stories, making me feel pressured to have one too.
