Yesterday I had the honor of leading the commencement of our Whole Foods Market Lean In Circle! The Lean In Circle: Cultivating Whole Women Leaders is a group of women who meet monthly for a year to share ideas, seek advice, and gain new skills. It’s a place where women can be unapologetically ambitious. The Lean In Circle helps us create a powerful and resourceful bench of diverse leaders who can successfully serve each other and customers alike. Congratulations to all the recent grads: Alex Snow, Alicia Cataldo, AnaMaria Friede,DeeDee Pumphrey, Helen Espinosa, Jennifer Dixon, Laura Stenz, Mary Demos, Michelle Killam, Stephanie Russell Truscott, Virginia LaChon,Adiza Dupree, Alison Marcantuno, AmyJo DiMeglio,Erin Egbert, Erin Harper, Heather McCready, Lauren Evans, Pooja Gandhi, Rachel Martin, Tammy Thomas, Teresa Bronson, SPHR, Esther Kang, Juliana Lustig, Laura Henke, Barb Lann, Kendall Cole, and Kylie Bentley!
Christina Minardi, I wanted to extend my heartfelt congratulations on leading the commencement of the Whole Foods Market Lean In Circle. It's truly inspiring to see the dedication to fostering a community where women can thrive, share, and empower each other. I know what I'm about to say should perhaps be shared privately, but I felt compelled to express it openly. Christina, I've always held a deep fondness for you. I recall our interactions during my time Whole Foods Market Foods, particularly at the 59th Street Columbus Circle store. Your warmth and humility, despite holding such a high position as the Regional President, left a lasting impression on me. Your willingness to engage with employees on a personal level, whether it was through sharing lunch money or rewarding knowledge of our core values, spoke volumes about your character. Thank you for being a beacon of light within the organization. Your presence, even during brief visits to the bakery for a French baguette, never failed to brighten the day. It's leaders like you who make a difference not only in the workplace but in the lives of those you interact with.
This is a great!
