Time has come! Agency evaluates client :))) , the Signature Platform is a great initiative to recognize brand managers or other talented marketers. It is also particular because feedback culture between agency and clients seems to fade away. 🙁
On the deeper side, I was trained for years back at P&G and Nestle how to give feedback particularly to agencies. Master the briefing process, understands their motivations and provide constructive and continues feedback.
Experiencing the agency side, the coin has flipped and probably time has changed a lot since. Business culture is very different, not even mentioning business ethics.
We see 3 types of client feedback:
1️⃣ Happy client who give positive feedback, even a review to the agency. Recognizing good work, enabling results - 1% of the client base, we love them and do everything for them!
2️⃣ Silence, long silence from clients means they are extremely happy, we contribute to their business growth significantly (we actually see and measure it in the online word, sales, revenue, ROAS). They leave us work and build their brands. However when they say something the want even more (for less money). Or they forget the 99% work done well, they point out your one tiny mistake..
3️⃣ The always unhappy ones, whatever you do is never good enough. Your are not traeted as partners, you are a supplier. Forget motivation, he knows better, shouldn’t have hired you anyway. He is in the business for decades where things are done a certain way, keep your ideas for yourself. Oh yes!
