Attending the WISPA Conference recently, I witnessed a significant shift in rural broadband. The US government's $42 billion BEAD program is driving a hybrid approach, leveraging both fiber optic and fixed wireless in a way that maximizes bandwidth, future-proofs infrastructure, and builds on the existing strengths of both technologies. Ethernity Networks, with expertise in xPON and Carrier Ethernet, is well-positioned to support this transition through its global partners. This collaboration between technology providers and ISPs will accelerate high-speed internet access in underserved areas. Check out the link in the comments below to learn more about the BEAD program. https://lnkd.in/dfb8CRHF #ruralbroadband #BEADprogram #highspeedinternet #technology #ISP #EthernityNetworks

Fixed wireless *must* be part of the solution along with Fiber. It's not always practical to deploy fiber in every area. Sometimes fiber takes a number of years while RF can be deployed in days/months. It's not an either/or scenario. Most operators that cover rural and underserved areas need both fiber & RF to be agile and effectively serve the last mile. https://lnkd.in/gadF5W3s
