Today on the podcast, we're talking with members of the H.E.A.R.T. program and the leaders who coordinate their efforts.

“Because now it's not happening at a policy or programmatic level where, you know, you kind of get together in the Marriott Ballroom and you think enlightened thoughts about how to change things for homelessness. No, no, no. It's all about, “Hey, line two is Larry. How do we get Larry off the streets and into housing as quickly as possible? And to my mind, that switch from macro to micro changed everything.” -Dan Heath I'm working through back episodes of the System Catalysts podcast, and keep finding such great gems. The quote above is from episode 6 on combining hyper-local engagement, real-time data, and a laser focus on outcomes to solve issues like homelessness.

Time to talk homelessness... A lot of today's young people are the invisible homeless, moving from one sofa to another. Unlike the people we see sleeping rough outdoors who we do see. In today's Mims Moments episode (found wherever you get your podcasts) I'm talking to Laura and Lisa from Night Stop. Mediation Kidderminster. They are passionate about helping young people, through either mediation to try and reconcile them with family or if that is not an option, helping them to get a home. Whilst they do this, they have volunteer hosts who are vetted before hosting a young person to stay the night with them. The slogan for the campaign for more people to register as hosts is: "Make your place their safe space". If you think you could be a host, then please get in contact with Night Stop. the details are in my episode guide. Copy and paste below to listen.
