Last week, I held a relatively spontaneous intro to Design Thinking in a Pub. The main goal was to experience DT for the participants, in a 90 minute session that ended with a gigantic thirst for more! Knowledge of Design Thinking that is! By the way can you notice the mistake in the rules? All DT expert facilitators out there can probably spot several but one is a schocking no-no not having anything to do with out constraints, dare to say I fixed it in time. Now sitting down for too long would have been too much, so 90 minutes was excellent as an intro and the participants were excellent too, definitely had a very diverse view and tons of divergent ideas! Was definitely an experience for all of us, including the staff of the pub and our table neighbors 😎 The cost was minimal, since I used recycled cardboard boxes, cardboard and recycled paper to build a stand where I placed "my info slides" and to write on for some small "exercises". While the goal was for the participants to learn, we informally started a project too. Thus, hopefully this year, P2P intellectual capital transfer practices (we are still working on what it will be) from ExPats in Leipzig to the LeipzigerInnen, will have its live prototype. Perhaps in the summer. The playbook is a collection of methods to plan and facilitate universal design development in every step of the process, for short workshops or longer work sessions. Each method includes everything you need to get up and running quickly: a short tutorial, step-by-step instructions, inclusivity tips, materials needed, templates, and accommodation tips for different abilities. A Designer's Tale for Leveling Up THE GAME ✨ Just over a month ago, the concept of 'LevelUp Launch’ was a vision waiting to be unveiled. Fast forward to today, and I'm still buzzing from the energy of what turned out to be a landmark moment in tech- The O(1) Tech Conference. The mission seemed like a mountain, to gather a tech-hungry crowd in less than three weeks. But guess what? We didn't just climb that mountain, we moved it! We had the unique opportunity to be at the heart of this whirlwind event. From the electrifying coding arena contest to the strategic product showcases From digital invites to all print collateral We didn't just organize an event, we created an experience that resonated with every techie's dream. The nights were long, and the coffee was strong. The challenge was to pull a mega crowd in a mere 18–20 days. But the result was a resounding success that surpassed all expectations. The collaborative spirit of our team turned 'LevelUp Launch’ from a concept into a reality that was embraced by industry leaders and tech enthusiasts alike. I'm proud to have contributed to the main presentation that introduced 'LevelUp' to the world. But more than that, I'm honoured to have worked alongside a team of passionate innovators who understand that true success comes from collective effort.
