At the Asia Pacific Amateur Championship, 37 golfers among the 120-player Asia Pacific field are either playing U.S. college golf or have committed to 31 universities 😳. Why? Per the GD article, and also duh, it’s difficult to compete with the elite coaches, competition, practice facilities, education and exposure found in US collegiate golf. There’s also the ability to play courses like Cypress Point, as Lin points out. “I got to U Dub and the people in Seattle, they are just so passionate about sports,” he says. “They support us so much. We have donors that bring us to courses like Cypress Point, Pasatiempo and Pebble Beach, and other really nice courses before tournaments." Who knew a US university education could be a sneaky hack to do something on the cheap! Follow for more sneaky golf tricks and hacks that only cost $80k/year ea. https://lnkd.in/e-UcF_u7

The International General Certificate of Secondary Education IGCSE run by Cambridge International Examinations is a comprehensive syllabus that measures students holistically. Here is a video we did for external moderation of students who chose to do IGCSE Physical Education PE as one of their external sports. This specific video was focusing on Golf. The student got 48/50 but I should have given him full marks for the subject as he was extremely skilled in Golf having played the sport for a number of years. #IGCSEPE #IGCSEPhysicalEducation. https://lnkd.in/gD3X-dU6

Game of golf 'has expanded tremendously' since pandemic, organization says Some First Tee's scholarship athletes have played for Keiser University in West Palm Beach, which partnered with First Tee to attract more junior golfers. With juniors, it's to get them in the game, to get them to start playing, to see what college life is like, and possibly get them to play some college golf," Peter Crocitto, the director of the Keiser University Coaching Center, said. Keiser's Golf Coaching Center is in its third year. The university's initiative is to attract golfers from children to adults. With hundreds of youngsters in the program, they're hoping to birth the next PGA generation of PGA greats. "Unlike most sports, golf is something that lasts forever," Crocitto said. "You can play this game into your 80s or 90s. In other sports, you may have to end your career early, but this is a game that lasts with you for life." Read more: https://lnkd.in/gjFxCuuA #OneKeiser

Sports Science 🤝 Exam Preparation I've stolen this tip from elite athletes 👟 All athletes will do practice races 🏃♀️ But elite athletes will do a 'practice day', where they prepare in exactly the same way as they will for the real race: ✅ The same wake up time ✅ The same breakfast ✅ The same journey ✅ The same music ✅ The same race This makes them as relaxed and confident on race day as possible 🌟 So students can do the same before an exam - but without racing! ✅ The same wake up time ✅ The same breakfast ✅ The same journey ✅ The same music ✅ A mock exam, sat in exam conditions and to time Then when the real exam comes, they'll feel more relaxed and confident 🌟 #aca #icaew #acca #cima #studytips #exams 📸 Image courtesy of Braden Collum on Unsplash

If there’s a course that you think should be included, what course would you remove? Unfortunately we are yet to play them all, so we have lent on the rankings done by publications like Golf Dogest, Irish Golfer and @officialtop100

*Internal Moot Championships 2024 Workshop: Day 1* The Simple Do's and Don'ts With each attendee listening intently while jotting down every little golden nugget of advice they received, clear emphasis was placed on a few important but overlooked areas. The key tips and tricks shared included maintaining eye contact, summarising points succinctly, expanding on points if time permits, and avoiding fillers like "mmms" and "ahhs", making relevant references to authorities, concluding with a summary, and including a prayer for relief were emphasised. Azim also advised speaking politely to the tribunal, engaging with opponents' arguments, and addressing points directly to save time. After the said advice, the first day of the Internal Moot Championships 2024 Workshop concluded. Each mooter left more informed and prepared to handle the stress that comes with the competition. It is no doubt that ABD Azim Bin ABD Razak's expert insights provided aspiring mooters with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in competitions. As they prepare for the next day's workshop, participants are well on their way to becoming confident and competent advocates. Read the full story @ https://lnkd.in/gjgxHG-q

What's going on with England at the #Euros? 🏴 As the excitement of the tournament progresses, the narrative around #England's potential victory has shifted to questioning what's going wrong. As a long time fan I see this pattern repeating itself as it has for decades. Is it because - 1️⃣ World-class talent alone isn't enough. England is loaded with talent. Translating individual club success to the international stage is challenging. 2️⃣ Coaching and strategies. Should we expect #Southgate to get individual/team performances that world class coaches inspire from players like Foden, #Bellingham, Kane, Saka? 3️⃣ The fear of failure. Opting to play not to lose vs to win creates an ugly, passive game. Contrast this with the bold strategies seen in teams like Spain, Hungary , Switzerland. 4️⃣ Winning isn't good enough. England is expected to win with stylish performances. Is this fair? As the tournament unfolds, many including myself want to see more of what England is capable of. Will we? 🌟⚽ #Euros #England #Soccer #SportsAnalysis
