A gift or a talent is a thing you can do to the absolute best with the least amount of effort. In the present words relaying only on your talent, cannot make you successful, what will make you successful will be your ability to adapt to change, add value to what you have, create value to identify and solve problems #CUIBEntrepreneurshipSenior #CUIBCERI #CUIB #PersonalDevelopment

Today's a good day to change the world! We help organizations create safe and affirming spaces with DEI & Leadership Training & Development.
Title: "Is Our Organization Ready And Willing To Do The Work for DEIB?" In today's world, the call for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) is not merely a buzzword but a critical mission for organizations to embrace. The question we need to earnestly ask is: "Is Our Organization Ready And Willing To Do The Work?" It's about delving into the depths of our culture, policies, and practices, questioning ingrained beliefs, and committing to the hard, messy, and often uncomfortable journey of change. This change must transpire at the board level, permeate through every staff member, and reflect in our policies. Authenticity, openness, and understanding are the guiding principles that will steer our transformation. Embracing this journey of growth and evolution will mold us into a better version of ourselves, aligning us with the values of inclusivity and equality from which we started. But the work doesn't stop at commitment—it thrives on continuous revisiting of progress. Through this lens of DEIB, decisions will be more informed, empathetic, and impactful, fostering an environment where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued. Let us embark on this transformative path, for the sake of our organization and the world it touches. 🌱 #DEIB #TransformationInProgress

You can’t make enough money doing this! This is a statement that I often hear from people who tried to talk me out of transitioning into ethical finance. I guess this is also one of the reasons that is holding back some young finance professionals from pursuing a career in ethical / Islamic finance. My first response to those people is that I didn’t transition into ethical finance for the money. I went in search of a solution to my own problem and I discovered a bigger problem that millions of people like me face; lack of access to faith aligned investments that they need to be financially free. For me , doing this is my life’s mission and purpose. One of the stories that inspire me is that of AbdurRahman Ibn Awf. This was a wealthy man who left all his wealth behind in pursuit of a new beginning in Medina for the sake of his Lord. He turned down the offer of his new neighbor to own part of his wealth and simply asked him to show him the way to the market. And AbdurRahman became the wealthiest man in Medina. ‼️PS: Actually, there’s enough money to make if you are well positioned in the industry. We will be sharing these insights with the 20 people in our project20 program. ⏰Slots are filling up very fast. If you are yet to register, apply here: https://lnkd.in/d_ren6uC It’s completely FREE.

You might wonder why I consistently share best practices or acknowledge companies' progress in Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB). It's important to clarify that I'm not a social media influencer; these aren't promotional posts. My actions' motivation stems from being on the other side of the table. I understand the challenges and how little recognition one receives while navigating numerous battles in this journey to make businesses equitable and inclusive. This is particularly true for organizations lacking official governance structures and dedicated DEIB professionals. Often, the work is carried out by dedicated individuals who volunteer their time on top of their regular responsibilities. My aim is to shine a spotlight on their efforts and acknowledge the value they bring. By doing so, I encourage leaders and decision-makers to recognize the impact of these individuals, prompting them to take the necessary actions to ensure fair treatment. It's about making their work visible and pushing for the acknowledgment they deserve. #DEIB #RecognitionMatters #BestPractices
