A big thank you to Vogue for spotlighting such a beautiful conversation around motherhood with Karlie Kloss and Tabria Majors. We were honored to have them share their stories around the incredible changes that come with pregnancy and parenthood as part of our campaign—hopefully inspiring other expecting and new parents along the way. It’s been a joy to work with these incredible mothers during their pregnancy and postpartum journeys. Special thanks to Audrey Noble for featuring us! https://lnkd.in/g3nW7Rfd

This week marks the International Breastfeeding Week! In line with this year's theme is "Let's make breastfeeding and work, work," here are a few tips for Breastfeeding While Working: To maintain and build up your milk supply, try to feed the baby at the breast as many times as possible during work days and for all feedings on non-working days if possible; Prep and pack everything you’ll need for pumping at work the night before; Wear clothing that’s easy to open and/or remove like a loose top or wrap dress since you’ll be partially undressing a few times a day; and Share your experience and find support from other women who are working and breastfeeding. Let's make breastfeeding and work, work!

It’s incredible how happy and fulfilled a mother feels as she watches her child’s development from birth. This growth is usually facilitated by breastfeeding. Breastfeeding is more than just the ability to access one’s right to food, one’s right to health, or the performance of the duty of motherhood. Breast milk contains more components than any formula, food, or mixture on earth combined. Benifits include- 1. Skin-to-skin contact: During breastfeeding, the mother holds her baby close to her skin, facilitating the release of oxytocin, often referred to as the "love hormone." Oxytocin promotes feelings of trust, love, and attachment, strengthening the bond between mother and baby. 2. Eye contact and facial expressions: Breastfeeding allows for eye contact and facial expressions between the mother and baby. This helps the baby feel secure and emotionally connected to their mother. 3. Synchronization: Breastfeeding involves a natural synchronization between the baby's sucking reflex and the mother's milk supply. This rhythmic interaction can create a sense of harmony and connection between the two. 4. Comfort and security: Breastfeeding provides a source of comfort and security for the baby. The mother's touch, voice, and smell are familiar and reassuring to the infant, promoting a sense of safety and well-being. 5. Responsive parenting: Breastfeeding often encourages mothers to be more responsive to their baby's needs, as they can quickly recognize hunger cues and provide comfort and nourishment promptly. This responsiveness strengthens the emotional bond. 6. Emotional cues: During breastfeeding, mothers are more likely to notice subtle changes in their baby's behavior, such as facial expressions or sounds, which can help them better understand and respond to their baby's emotional needs. Two elements that prevent women from breastfeeding as long as they intend to: unsupportive work environments and a lack of family support. In fact, breastfeeding is a family affair. It requires coordination, patience, and encouragement. Let's kick off Father's Day Weekend by highlighting some of the biggest support partners in a mother's breastfeeding journey: Dads! Dads show their support by researching breastfeeding basics, attending breastfeeding classes, taking care of baby, attending to housework, and letting mom rest. Comment additional ways your partner supports you below! #Motherhood #AeroflowBreastpumps #Parenting

The global theme of World Prematurity Day 2023 is “Small actions, BIG IMPACT: Immediate skin-to-skin care for every baby everywhere.” Skin-to-skin contact has been proven to be extremely effective for every baby, especially for premature babies. Initiated right after birth, the practice of skin-to-skin contact contributes to the baby’s awareness of touch and affection, playing a pivotal role in starting and sustaining breastfeeding. #WorldPrematurityDay #WPD2023 #PrematureChampion

It might seem strange to post a picture of myself breastfeeding on LinkedIn, a professional networking site. But it’s World Breastfeeding Week and this year’s theme is on breastfeeding and work. I have yet to navigate breastfeeding and going back to work: fortunately I’m able to take a year of maternity leave. But there are many mums I know who have already had to return to work, or will be very soon, and they’re attempting to navigate continuing to breastfeed their baby alongside the demands of going back to work and the juggle of a little one. While there are many regulations and recommendations in place in the U.K. to assist with breastfeeding working mothers, there’s still a long way to go. Whether this is rooms purely dedicated to breastfeeding/pumping where a working mother can go to pump; space in a fridge to store milk; regular pumping breaks. Of course it’s more complicated in some sectors or roles, but we should be doing all we can to support women breastfeeding because of the well documented benefits to both mother and baby.

I don't want to breastfeed🥲 "It can be stressful, hurtful, and demanding," says Atinuke. Dear new mom or aspiring mom-to-be, Do you feel this way, too? Are you aware that breastmilk benefits in three ways? To you, your baby, and society. ............... Mom's milk is like a magic recipe for a baby's growth. Like a shield, protecting babies from getting sick. Boosting the baby's brain to become as clever as a fox. Gentle on little tummies, so no grumbles or gurgles. Every sip is like a warm hug filled with love. Truly, breastfeeding can be stressful, hurtful, and demanding. Despite that🤷 The benefits are numerous. 🤗 Sending hugs to all breastfeeding moms. You are a life changer. Keep impacting! Send this to any new mum you know, so that they can keep the flag flying. Don't give up too soon. If you need help with regards to your breastfeeding journey. I'm just a DM away! Check out other benefits of breastfeeding in the comment section. Happy Friday, Family❤️ Add rest to your to-do list so that you can be well-charged for the coming week.
