What’s the best advice you ever received early in your career journey? Our summer internship program includes meetings with leaders across the organization. Thanks to Rebecca (Wright) Wlazlo, Supply Chain SVP, for sharing insights with our group this week! It was the highlight of my day — hosting a virtual lunch with our Crate & Barrel Interns. What an engaging group with thoughtful questions and fresh perspectives! I appreciated the opportunity to reflect on and share the ups and downs of my career lifeline. The struggles, grit, disappointments. resiliency, triumphs and so much gratitude for the journey often get simplified (or not even shown) in our concise LinkedIn profiles. It’s always good to remember that the journey looks much easier than it ever really is…. I can’t wait to see the paths created and the impact made by these talented interns. "Be compassionate. You never know what someone was going through before they encountered you..." This has helped me to stay focused on people and to understand that they matter.
I was recently asked what I would change about myself if promoted… my answer was “nothing “ be authenticly “you”
Love this group! Early career advice I received was, "be kind and be honest" - simple but so important! After several years, I still think about this often. Thanks Emily Schneider-Krzys 🙂

2w“Be you - the real authentic you.” Trying to be the leader you think you are expected to be or that is modeled by others can be tempting…. But leading in your own way, being true to yourself, is so much more inspiring.
