Founder of iPrep2Thrive™ and The Preparedness AD Council (PAC), Century 5-10-10-75™, a 100-year continuum of Preparedness Industry & Opportunity
As important as Juneteenth is today, what is more important is what we, as Americans, do tomorrow. It is predicted that, by 2053, African American average family wealth will diminish to Zero. To this we say, "NOPE! Not on Our Watch!". Our ancestors didn't make four centuries of sacrifices for us to slip back into collective economic slavery, which is what Zero median family wealth means. Author and Activist Russ Carter and I have joined together to promote two powerful solutions: Preparedness PAYS:5-10-10-75™ and "12 Principles to Secure the Future Success of the African American Family". When we prosper collectively and in solidarity, America will prosper. Make Juneteenth 2024 the turning point for America.

It is a European propensity toward binary thinking that contributed to the most powerful myths about Africa. To be clear. 💧There are no black people in Africa. We are Africans. 💧The concept of Black applies to people in America, where skin colour is a defining feature of culture, history and tradition. 💧In the UK, 70% of the Black community are African. This map of precolonial Africa reveals the kingdoms that still play a part in group belonging, culture and identity. Traditionally, Africans are culturally conservative and as distinct from each other as the Irish, Welsh, Scottish, French, Norwegian, Lithuanian and Hungarian. We would not dream of clubbing them together and erasing their unique qualities under the umbrella term White. It’s rude and dismissive. 🙊There was a time when England was famed for its capacity to think freely. In recent years, we have allowed the American Empire to colonise our minds with nonsensical thinking, and in doing so, we have harmed the rich diversity of people who make Great Britain great. #blackhistorymonth

Anti-Americanism - OA PDF: https://lnkd.in/eph5YSxA Ever since George Washington warned against "foreign entanglements" in his 1796 farewell speech, the United States has wrestled with how to act toward other countries. Consequently, the history of anti-Americanism is as long and varied as the history of the United States. In this multidisciplinary collection, seventeen leading thinkers provide substance and depth to the recent outburst of fast talk on the topic of anti-Americanism by analyzing its history and currency in five key global regions: the Middle East, Latin America, Europe, East Asia, and the United States. The commentary draws from social science as well as the humanities for an in-depth study of anti-American opinion and sentiment in different cultures. The questions raised by these essays force us to explore the new ways America must interact with the world after 9/11 and the war against Iraq. Systematic changes can only be made when we acknowledge history. We cannot let the truth be obscured by lies that are gradually erasing the contributions and plight of African Americans. Although the Declaration of Independence was signed, African Americans remained enslaved until the end of the Civil War. The pain and brutality of this past still linger today, and the fight for equality and inclusion continues. Today, we honor our ancestors who were forcibly brought to these lands, unaware of the culture and language, yet managed to survive, persevere, and live with dignity.
