GVT and HDFC Bank's CSR initiative, Parivartan are joining forces to transform farming and champion sustainable practices in Baloda Bazaar, Chhatisgarh. In the face of degraded soil potentially releasing a staggering 850 billion tonnes of CO2, our initiatives like Kitchen Gardens, Organic Farming, and Farmers' Capacity Building aim to revitalize #soilhealth. By doing so, we're not only fostering resilient agriculture but actively participating in the fight against climate change. Mrs. Santoshi Verma of village Champa (Baloda Bazaar, Chhatisgarh) developed a Kitchen Garden in her 0.05-acre backyard, which sufficed her Nourishment, Livelihood and Identity needs. The expert support from GVT also improved the quality and quantity of the yield and soil too. Let's cultivate a future where sustainable farming becomes the norm, sequestering carbon and paving the way for a healthier planet. #sustainableagriculture #climateaction #GVTxParivartan

✨The Smokeless Chulha. Reduces Drudgery. Mitigates Health Risks! A smokeless chulha in action in Kinchirida village of Ganjam district in Odisha. The chulhas were provided to residents as part of a project with IndusInd Bank. Smokeless chulhas, designed to address the environmental and health challenges of traditional open-fire cooking, boost combustion efficiency, thereby reducing both cooking time and firewood consumption. By promoting cleaner and more efficient combustion, they mitigate the health risks associated with the smoke emissions of traditional chulhas. Additionally, the reduced demand for firewood leads to less time and effort required for fuelwood collection from forests, which in turn contributes to the preservation of forest cover. This innovation is particularly beneficial in rural settings, where the burden of collecting firewood and exposure to harmful smoke predominantly falls on women. 👇👇👇 When you engage with our posts, you're not just showing support - you're amplifying our voice! 📢 Every like, share, and comment helps our message reach more people who care, helping us tackle rural poverty at its very core 🌳 👍 Like if you support our cause, 💬 Comment to share your thoughts, 🔄 Share to spread the word! #womenshealth #womenempowerment #environmentalstewardship #ruralhealth #rural_life #ruraldevelopment #cleanenergyfuture #communitydevelopment #WOTR4Development

Here’s why: 1)Monopoly and Excellence: Amul has carved out a niche for itself, enjoying a monopoly in its segment. Their excellent products and operational prowess set them apart. Remarkably, they are better than competing largest FMCG companies in India to be 8th Largest FMCG company this segment globally. 2)Profit Sharing: Amul’s heart lies with its original producers—the 36 lakh farmers who contribute to its success. A staggering 80-85% of profits flow back to these hardworking owners. This unique model ensures that prosperity is shared directly with those who make it possible, which uplifts village economy. 3)Impact Beyond Stocks: While Amul remains off the stock market, its impact on India is immense. It thrives as a beloved brand, serving millions of consumers & producer across the country. In essence, Amul’s story is one of cooperative strength best suited for the Indian environment. If we build another 10-12 AMUL than no one can stop us becoming top economy in the world.
Imagine 36 lakh women, each owning a piece of India's dairy giant. This isn't just a statistic; it's a story of daily dedication pouring into over 300 lakh litres of milk, contributing Rs 200 crores to the economy. This empowerment runs deep, woven through the network of 18,565 village dairy cooperatives in Gujarat. Established in 1973, Amul is a powerful collective of 18 district milk unions, boasting a whopping ₹72,000 crore turnover. But fairness is their true strength. When you buy an Amul product, a record-breaking 85% of that Rs 100 reaches the farmers, ensuring sustainable livelihoods and fueling their passion for quality. Amul's impact transcends mere business. It's a champion for women's empowerment. Since 1946, the cooperative model has equipped women to pool their resources, knowledge, and expertise, transforming them from dairy producers to self-sufficient entrepreneurs. Today, Amul is a household name, synonymous with delicious dairy products and innovative marketing. Yet, its true essence lies in the women building it up. #Amul #WomenEmpowerment #CooperativeSpirit #TasteOfIndia #Gujarat [Amul, India, Women Empowerment]

🌟 Turning the Soil, Turning the Tide: Aadhar Singh's Path to Sustainable Farming 🌿 🌄 In the heart of Baikunthpur, Chhattisgarh, the sunsets cast long shadows over Aadhar Singh's 5-acre plot. For years, Aadhar battled the unforgiving forces of nature and crippling debt. He believed in chemical fertilisers as the key to success, but they led him down a path of despair with two back-to-back crop failures. His wallet was as dry as the parched soil beneath his feet, and hope was slipping away. 🌪️ But then, like a gust of hope, the Holistic Rural Development Programme, backed by HDFC Bank's Parivartan, swept into his life. It introduced him to organic farming, particularly the magic of vermicomposting—a beacon in his darkest hour. With renewed determination, Aadhar embraced vermicomposting, and magic happened. In just 2 months, his land transformed into a green oasis! Fertiliser costs dropped by a jaw-dropping 91%, and his income skyrocketed to 35,900 rupees. 🌾 To secure a prosperous future, Aadhar built a field bund on 1.25 acres, preserving soil moisture and cultivating paddy and vegetables. His transformation inspired the village, turning him into a champion of sustainability. 💪 Aadhar's journey is a testament to how sustainable practices can turn the tide and pave the way for prosperity. 🌾 #CommunityHero #RuralDevelopment #FarmLife #Sustainability #OrganicFarming #WOTR4Development

Market - product fit is what is critical to enhancing income of farmers. And there has to be enablers - both individual and institutionals. The SAFAL plant at Ranchi is one such enabler that has transformed the agri- landscape of the catchment areas. An exposure visit to such plants always has key takeaways. Farmers from Odisha from 8 clusters are presently visiting the plant and interacting with farmers and other stakeholders. That agricultire is not about PADDY .. there are other possibilities and immense opportunities- provided we produce for the market and meet the exacting quality standards. Then only can agriculture leapfrog from unpredictable and subsistence to sustainable and remunerative.

Scrapr Kabadiwala 2: Suresh Ahirwar, age 52. He started working as a #Kabadiwala when he was 18 years old. He has no fixed income. He roams the streets from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., and some days he still can't collect enough recyclables to feed his family. He is our real #swachhtahero, and unknowingly, he is helping us recycle more, saving our resources, and contributing to a swachh bharat. They are the pillars of the #circulareconomy, and that is why we all should help uplift them. #scraprapp
