"My trauma had been compounded by untrained statutory and charitable agencies. At my lowest point, two untrained, unregulated advocates interfered via social media, paralysing the joint constabulary open investigation." This survivor's account underscores the critical need to reshape our collective response for victims and survivors. What does it mean to Give Happy? By giving to charitable organizations, you are taking a step in making the world better. This makes the charities and those they serve happy. It also makes the donor feel better too. So, when you give Happy, you get Happy. The CFC is so excited about the opportunity to GIVE HAPPY! Donors through the CFC GIVE HAPPY so: ❤️ First responders have the equipment necessary to save lives. ❤️ Children can start their school day with a nutritious breakfast. ❤️ Military families can stay connected during deployments. These are only a few examples of how your decision to give to one of the causes of the CFC can make an impact on the lives of one or many. Join so many others like you in the Federal community by going to GiveCFC.org and finding out how YOU can GIVE HAPPY!

As Remembrance Day approaches, Randall Purvis from No Stone Left Alone encourages us to wear a poppy and engage in daily reflections, especially on Remembrance Day. Let's also remember and honour our Canadian Armed Forces. It's crucial to pass this legacy to the next generation, and that's precisely what No Stone Left Alone Memorial Foundation does. Join us, volunteer, spread the word, and consider making a donation. This year, NSLA expects 12,000 students from 200 communities to participate. That is over 248 ceremonies honouring 95,000 headstones. Coordinating and holding all those ceremonies does come at a cost. No Stone Left Alone is a Not-for-Profit – we rely on donations to make this possible for our youth. Give to Remember today. https://lnkd.in/eEsJ8gH

Head of Fundraising and Communications at Prison Radio Association and UK Manager at Community Highlight
We are a non-political organisation, run solely by volunteers in the UK. Like so many, we are appalled at the senseless loss of life and suffering of people in Israel and Gaza and we condemn in the strongest terms all violence against civilians on both sides. We hope and pray for a speedy peaceful situation to be found. Meanwhile, ordinary people, including children and the elderly, are particularly vulnerable. Citizens in Gaza are already impoverished and the lack of electricity, water and medication can only make things much worse. When this dreadful conflict is over we will continue to build playgrounds which will be needed more than ever to support children who will have seen and experienced trauma beyond our imaginings. But for now we ask that you support established charities who can help Palestinians with food, water and medicine. These include, but are not limited to: Palestine Children's Relief Fund PCRF - https://www.pcrf.net/ Middle Eastern Children's Alliance – https://lnkd.in/eSyBNaJY Amos Trust - https://lnkd.in/e_iMh7vM United Palestinian Appeal – https://upaconnect.org/ British Red Cross - https://lnkd.in/e6KH-4Pm Together, we can but try to make a difference 🧡
When this dreadful conflict is over, we will continue to build playgrounds that will be needed more than ever to support Palestinian children who will have seen & experienced trauma beyond our imagining. But for now please support charities that can help with immediate needs, including Amos Trust, British Red Cross, Middle East Children's Alliance, Palestine Children's Relief Fund (PCRF) & United Palestinian Appeal.
