Did you know the Statue of Liberty’s journey to America was a logistics marvel? Packed into 214 crates and reduced to 350 pieces, she sailed across the Atlantic aboard the frigate Isère, arriving in New York Harbor on June 17, 1885. At CURA Freight, we take pride in the logistics that shape our history and future. Wishing everyone a wonderful Independence Day! 🎆🗽🚢 #FourthOfJuly #IndependenceDay #Logistics #CURA #StatueOfLiberty #Shipping #AmericanHistory

🚢 Port of Baltimore Operations Restored! We are thrilled to share that after an 11-week operation by multiple agencies, the Port of Baltimore is fully back in action! The 700-foot-wide and 50-foot-deep channel is now clear of all debris from the March collapse of the Francis Scott Key Bridge, meaning unrestricted two-way maritime traffic can resume. T For us, this means a return to normal #drayage operations, allowing us to seamlessly transport #containers between port terminals and inland destinations without restrictions. This reopening comes as a relief for our business, including our drivers who serve the Port of Baltimore, and the thousands of others impacted by the partial closure, which caused significant logistical disruptions and economic impacts. We can't thank enough the tireless teams who worked round the clock to restore safe operations for this critical maritime gateway. With the port back at full capacity, we are gearing up for a surge in activity. Major shippers, like automakers, are already rerouting shipments back through Baltimore. As a key entry point for cargo bound for the Upper Midwest and East Coast markets, the port's reopening will provide a boost to regional supply chains and commerce. Our CPG team is ready to support the increased volumes and meet our customers' transportation needs. We look forward to playing our part in rebuilding economic momentum through the Port of Baltimore. While challenges remain from the bridge incident, this milestone represents a big step forward for maritime trade in the Northeast region. #trucking #baltimore #logistics #transportation https://lnkd.in/gPu98C8x
