What can I say that is not been said? Heads up! Ostrich heads out of the sand! The human race is in serious trouble as deadly bacteria have outsmarted antibiotics because they are clever and we are so eager for a quick fix that we have taken antibiotics that are meant to kill bacteria. Unfortunately, they do not work on viruses. As many of you know, I spent three years fighting and barely surviving a deadly bacterial infection called C. Difficile. We work together as a nonprofit organization lobbing our Congress people working towards trying to find and develop new targeted antibiotic drugs, and understand the microbiome, so that no others will end up dying as the result the lack of antibiotic protection for a serious infection. We need your help. We need donations in order to continue to do the work that we have done over the past 10 years it has been remarkable. It has led in no small part to some new biologic treatments and it has brought awareness to millions of people around the world who never even knew that an infection like CDF existed until someone they knew passed from it. Please, please, considering making a donation to a nonprofit organization, where you know the money is only going to serve the human population, and protect our future. Every bacterial infection is part of this crisis!
🌟 Join us in making a difference! 🌟 At Peggy Lillis Foundation, every donation, no matter the size, fuels our mission to fight against C. diff infections and promote antibiotic stewardship. 💙 Your support means more resources for education, advocacy, and support for patients and families affected by this devastating infection. Individual donations are the lifeblood of our organization, enabling us to reach more people, advocate for better healthcare practices, and ultimately save lives. Together, we can make a real impact and bring hope to those facing the challenges of C. diff. Join our cause today by contributing whatever you can. Every dollar counts! Every year, 1 million children and adolescents under the age of 20 die from non-communicable diseases, which are often preventable and treatable. At #UNGA78, we were proud to participate in an event with UNICEF USA and The Helmsley Charitable Trust to talk about how collaboration, increased investment and ensured prioritization of children’s health worldwide can help reduce the number of NCD-related deaths in children and adolescents—and create a healthier world for all. Together, we have the power to make a difference. Now, we need to take action. #ProgressForNCDs #WeAreLilly

Help us to Spread Prevention on this #GivingTuesday 🧡 We ALL have a trigger finger, but only, a few of us face the systemic failures that leads to needing or wanting to use it. Gun Violence is a disease that spreads through modeled behavior. When treated through a true Public Health lens, we can instead spread prevention. Prevention is defined by American Public Health Association, APHA, as the efforts and events that occur before the trigger is pulled. Let’s ALL come together, before the trigger is pulled, to work to prevent future gun violence. Donate to our Youth Economic Opportunity Fund today and spread prevention! #WeArePrevention Donate: https://lnkd.in/esSMeYEr

With only 10 days left of the Woman of Impact campaign, I am reminded of the importance of the work we are doing. Today, my daughter's experience with POTs disease put it all into perspective. Living with this condition means constantly monitoring heart rate, like when she felt tightness and a faster rate during her morning game. Fortunately, she knows how to control it, but it doesn't make it any less challenging. Join the fight against heart disease and support the cause by donating here: https://lnkd.in/gvJ-2Xj3. Every little bit helps make a difference.
