Hello Connections, As a Mechanical Engineering student, we have to study about various mechanisms, their analysis and Applications. "Coupling Rod of Locomotive" or "Double Crank Mechanism" is one of the mechanisms used in the Industries from a very long time. this mechanism was used in the old steam trains till the beginning of modern trains. I Completed part design, assembly and simulation using DMU kinematics function. happy to share my progress in learning Catia V5. #mechanicaldesign #catiav5 #caddesign

On Day 15, I continued my exploration of SolidWorks by expanding my knowledge into the realm of dynamic simulations. I embarked on the exciting journey of simulating the movement and behavior of mechanical systems. The day was filled with analyzing complex assemblies and components, considering dynamic factors like motion, forces, and moments to ensure the system's reliability and performance. Dynamic simulations offer a new dimension of understanding, enabling me to predict how a mechanism will operate in real-world conditions, which is invaluable for designing machines, robots, and a host of other mechanical systems. Day 15 marked a significant step in my journey, broadening my skill set and opening up endless possibilities in the world of engineering.

Started Learning Siemens NX software, quite an interesting one, which will be helpful for me while pursuing my masters in Mechanical Engineering from Kingston University, also this tool will assist me in my future projects and simulation.

Last month, I attempted to analyze the torque generated by the runner in a Pelton turbine. Using the principle of impulse, the kinetic energy of water can rotate the Pelton buckets, thus generating torque to produce electricity. From this analysis, there are several variables that can be optimized to improve the efficiency of the turbine, such as optimizing the diameter of the nozzle to increase water impulse and the depth of the bucket to accommodate more water. The analysis was done using ANSYS Fluent and the domain was made using Solidworks. I have tried several learning projects during my university studies using Solidworks and ANSYS, which I have summarized in the Projects section if you are interested in viewing them. #mechanicalengineering #Turbine #ANSYS #freshgraduate #teknikmesin

Taking out time as a Mechanical Engineering student to apply what I've learnt, I used SOLIDWORKS to analyze Von Mises stress on a welded member. In addition, I saw how information on the displacement and strain of the member can also be analyzed and modified to suit it's use in a particular domain. ⛩️⛩️ #vonmisesstress #structuraldesigns #SolidWorks
