Great news to start 2024 that we've been named in the Glassdoor Top 50 Best Places to Work UK 2024 winners, placing 20th on the prestigious list of 50 winners!
We had a focus throughout 2023 to rollout our new global EVP 'Create a legacy' externally and internally and Glassdoor was critical to this across all our regional and global countries where we operate. We enlisted employer brand champions from within our TA team and trained them to respond to reviews globally across seven different languages. We brought our company profiles to life with new video content, imagery and copy that reflects our global business and recent acquisitions. The results have been impressive and our UK score now stands at 4.4 and globally 4.1, truly showing Arcadis is a great place to work, from the perspectives of our own people.
Unlike other awards, there is no self-nomination or application process, instead it’s entirely based on the feedback our employees have voluntarily and anonymously shared on Glassdoor. While enjoying my family holidays in Poland 🇵🇱, it gave me some time to reflect on 2023.

1️⃣ Proud that together with Karolina we managed a challenging work/life balance with 2 young kids. Besides, today it is exactly 6 years since we met for the first time 31-12-2017 ❤️
2️⃣ Proud looking back on the collaboration with my amazing leadership team Rick, Iteke, Rachid and now also Susan. You had a big impact on my personal development as a leader in 2023 🤝
3️⃣ Proud of the individual and team performance with Personio Benelux. We had the best revenue result in history, Q4 became our best quarter ever, we facilitated 10 promotions and set a clear example of how to work together. True teamwork 🏆

❌ Stop procrastinating personal projects that bring me joy & personal growth ➡️ I’m proud I started my Library concept and consistent posting. I can fairly conclude that this project has brought me joy & personal growth 🤓
❌ Stop letting ad-hoc tasks, meetings and other distractions having impact on me and the Benelux team ➡️ Even though I’m really proud of our performance, I do know that the overall productivity (starting with myself) can still really improve 🪫🔋

🚀 Continue documenting and sharing my learnings in Notion ➡️ 44 posts in 2023 where about my Notion documentation where I shared my library with 500 other GTM people. I learned a lot by executing and sharing it 🔁
🚀 Continue or getting back to my healthy lifestyle of 10K daily steps, weekly runs and fasting ➡️ Even though I was very consistent I ended up with 8,800 of 10K steps but was consistent on my runs & fasting.
Cheers to a rollercoaster year 2023. Looking forward to 2024 ✌️

Last Friday, I had the honor of delivering a keynote at the 54th International People Conference in Lisbon.
My focus was on how technological empowerment and human connection can work together, a combined focus we continually seek to optimize at Job&Talent.
Here are the key takeaways from my speech:
⚡Innovation is still surprisingly absent for millions of essential workers who are the backbone of our societies.
⚡Technology holds incredible potential, from revolutionizing job searching and matching to enhancing feedback, recognition, fostering learning and development and providing better access to financial products, ultimately making the future of work more efficient and equitable.
⚡However, we must navigate this technological transition with care, addressing data security and unbiased decision-making.
⚡While fully embracing technology, we should never lose sight of the human aspect. People need to engage with people, and those who prioritize worker wellbeing will lead the talent race.
