Life-Giving Leadership” is more than a slogan, it’s our raison d’etre. We embody this principle not only in our interactions with our team and clients but also in our company spending. We take pride in our ongoing support for Citizen Leader Lab, a South African nonprofit dedicated to nurturing conscious, resilient school principals and business leaders. Through a transformative, action-oriented process they shatter barriers, foster connections and ignite change. Since 2014, we've had the honor of sponsoring 17 principles through this remarkable initiative. > Discover the impactful work being accomplished by Citizen Leader Lab: https://bit.ly/3ZbztTt > Learn more about us and our team here: https://bit.ly/3MqHtc3 #lifegivingleaderhsip #leadingedge #impact #sponser

I am passionate about designing community-centric organizations that reward the best in people by connecting, energizing, and empowering them.
This is a slide from my 2011 Enterprise 2.0 Keynote, only updated with a slight change for recent presentations. Last night when Hillary Clinton was asked by Rachel Maddow how to fix the issues in our society, referenced many of these same things. Listen starting at 6:00 in the link below. It is why I have been researching communities, community leadership, and community governance for over a decade. https://lnkd.in/da_Aj6FV

Sharpening your skills as a nonprofit leader is vital, especially when you bring a justice-impacted perspective. I recently had the privilege of participating in a dynamic training at the Nonprofit Leadership Center, where I connected with 20 other nonprofit professionals from the Tampa Bay area. Together, we explored powerful tools that reinforced the importance of refining our mindset, skill set, and toolset. The training emphasized that our ability to lead with purpose and vision requires constant growth and adaptability. By embracing new strategies, we empower ourselves and our organizations to better serve our communities. For those of us with lived experience navigating the justice system, it's essential to cultivate a network that understands the nuances of our journeys and amplifies our voices. An inspiring takeaway: Never underestimate the power of continuous learning and mutual support. Investing in your growth helps you transform challenges into opportunities, enabling your organization to make a more profound impact. Let’s remain committed to our personal and professional development, uplifting one another to create the change we wish to see.

🚨 Nonprofit EDs / CEOs! BoardSource is partnering with Candid for the 2023-2024 Leading with Intent survey series. This survey seeks to answer the following *very* important questions: Who serves on today’s nonprofit boards? What matters most when it comes to the board’s roles and responsibilities? What impact are they having on organizational performance? How do boards conduct their work? How well are they fulfilling their many important roles and responsibilities? How are boards composed and organized? "The survey will highlight leadership transitions, diversity, equity, and inclusion in the board, and the impact of COVID-19 on board culture. We invite all nonprofit chief executives and board chairs to participate in the 11th edition of Leading with Intent to help inform new educational resources and better understand nonprofit board leadership practices, trends, and norms within the field." Speed of Trust is such an impactful program.
Recently, it was my privilege to speak at the Career Development Series for the Utah Women's Leadership Institute. We dove into the topic of trust and how it's so much more than just a social virtue. Embodying high-trust leadership and fostering trust within our teams fuels innovation and takes organizations and their people to the next level. https://bit.ly/3PRbeXN
