Today (July 1) is National Nonprofit Leader Day. Fulcrum Nonprofit Leadership (Fulcrum) would like to take this opportunity to recognize and celebrate Charter Member and extraordinary leader, Nuka Solomon. Thank you, Nuka, for your commitment to excellence, servant leadership, and all things good. At Fulcrum, we believe nonprofit leaders like Nuka deserve to be recognized and celebrated. Why July 1st? While any day is a good day to show appreciation for nonprofit leaders, July 1 has special significance. First, many nonprofits will have just completed a very long and challenging fiscal year the day before (June 30). This deserves special recognition, especially given the sacrifices so many leaders likely made throughout the year and down the home stretch. Second, many nonprofits start a new fiscal year on July 1, launching into another year of meeting lofty goals and high expectations while accelerating mission delivery and community impact. If there is a special nonprofit leader in your life, please recognize them today with the hashtags #nationalnonprofitleaderday #fulcrumleader #servantleader.

Nonprofit leaders are among the most successful, capable, effective, strategic, and ethical leaders on the planet. It's important for the world to know that just because the sector is defined by the word, "nonprofit," these organizations are run like real businesses with a level of complexity, and unique challenges to overcome, that few would comprehend or acknowledge. Unlike many for-profit organizations, nonprofit leaders do way more with less, and manage not just the bottom line for themselves or shareholders (think mission impact, community benefit, espirit de corps, culture of excellence, and more). Let's celebrate the extraordinary nature of nonprofit leaders. Fulcrum Nonprofit Leadership exists to recognize, promote, and serve nonprofit leaders across the nation. Nonprofit leaders deserve or thanks and praise. #servantleadership #servantleader #Fulcrumleader #nonprofitleader #nonprofitleaders #leadership Dr. Stefanie K. Trust is crucial. It's just as true in our personal relationships (friends, family, co-workers) as it is with the organizations and companies we support. I was reminded of the importance of listening (and more importantly, hearing) others in the TNPA Leadership Lab session last week (great content shared, Abby Graf Subak!). In our haste to complete tasks, we often fail to engage strategically and communicate personally (actually grow trust with each other). The same is true for donors and the organizations they support. We know trust drives retention and higher value, yet often we don't stop to understand the drivers of that trust. Our latest donor research provides insights into what drives deeper trust for some and not others. As strategists trying to #quitbadfundraising, it truly is Solid Gold! https://hubs.ly/Q01Yc50D0 #nonprofitleadership #nonprofitstrategy
